Opinions on Igenex results

At the bottom of your Igenex test it will read:

Diagnosis should not be based on laboratory rests alone. Results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical symptoms and patient history.

I find this blurb every important.

For interpretation of the bands there are 2 places to turn for interpretation that I have seen on this forum.

I think your list of symptoms is relevant. My IgG results were the same as yours. Someone asked me if I had been to Europe because of band 58 - wish I knew who that was..... anyway, I had not.

How is your wife? Did she get tested too?

Is your llmd going to treat you based on your symptoms?

Doc is not going to treat me because according to her I don't have any symptoms that scream lyme. She also had a CD 57 panel done which was low at 40 .... Alittle confused because she said that was an indication my body is trying to fight an infection. Not sure what my next move should be.

I looked at another one of your posts..and you said you have mainly skin issues and arthritic pain...and some dizziness?


What is your history...did they just come on suddenly?

Sure.... My symptoms:

A crawling sensation, pin prick sensations in hands and sometimes feet
Skin extremely itchy
Skin has mottled,wrinkled appearance
Fatigue
Lost 25 pounds in a couple of months
Red/ petechie rash on trunk and legs
Occassionally lightheaded
Room spinning feeling....but only happened a few times
Was diagnosed with lichen planus polaris a few weeks ago
Arthritic type pain in neck and right hand

The first symptom I remember was the crawling --- pin pricking sensations...I thought those could be a neuro symptom.

She is addressing my thyroid which she says is sluggish .... I will try the Natural Thyroid she prescribed but my thyroid issues popped up after my other symptoms.

Yes, because the body needs to be healthy, or properly supported, in order to heal from these very complex infections. Many of us are in treatment for thyroid issues as well as these infections.

Cozy, this is too important to not pursue further, since you do have symptoms. Since she stated that your body was trying to fight an "infection", did she test you for anything else such as EBV, cytomegalovirus, mycoplasma, HHV series of viruses? If not, can she at least test you for those? And in the interim, you can try to find another doctor.
