Hyperthermia for lyme - has anyone tried it?

Hey All!

I've searched through all the threads on this topic and they seem to date back to about 2014, so here's a refresher!

I'm just starting to research Hyperthermia for Lyme. Everything I've come across seems pretty positive, but I definitely have some reservations. I've found the names of a few clinics - there's one in Germany that is pretty well known and there's a new one in Utah called the FAR clinic. Each protocol seems to be a little different - varying in temperature, time, the use of antibiotics etc. Lot's to sort through!

Anyways - I'm looking for some friends out there that have had any experience with hyperthermia for lyme. It's a huge decision to make and runs anywhere from 10-20,000 dollars (none of which is covered by insurance of course! :p) Before I make any decisions I'd really like to hear the good and bad from folks out there who've been through it.

I started to look into this once-never got very far.
Not the same but I did a long sauna detox with the 9-11 rescue workers-at the
time you could buy in if you were a rescue worker and they had extra room.
Nice program-I did 42 days of 5 hour sauna-a great detox.
Would love to hear about the german klinik

Heat does kill lyme,however,be careful of toxic overload....hard on the kidneys.

LLMD likes heat.

Just a little more info for those following this if you're interested!

From what I have seen so far there seem to be two schools of thought when applying hyperthermia to Lyme. Some clinics in Germany (e.g. St George) perform two high temperature (106-107 F) sessions within a period of 10 days combined with IV antibiotics and detoxifiction. The argument is that borrelia are killed by the high temperature jointly with the ABX IVs. People who have gone through the treatment and have achieved considerable improvements after their return to the US. I have been told that a treatment series of 10 days, during which one stays at the hospital, runs for about 12,000 Euros. During the time of the treatment the patient is slightly sedated because temperatures are too high to endure.

The second treatment approach includes a series of lower temperature treatments up to 103 or 104 deg F (8-10 treatments) over a longer period of time. The argument is that the borrelia are not just killed by the high temperature but a fever activated immune system. A few months after the initial treatment series a second and third shorter sequence (2-4 treatments) can be performed and one can keep doing 1-2 treatments per years for “maintenance” purposes.
