Hi,
Every morning I am having what I would call an abnormal heart rhythm and fast heart rate (for me) for about
two hours after taking Ceftin for my Lyme disease and ursodiol (for my liver condition called intrahepatic cholestasis).
My friend who is a doctor told me to take my pulse at my wrist to see if my pulse is speeding up and to see if I can feel skipped beats.
I did that this morning (even though other days I could already see the skipped beats outside of my chest and you could feel them outside my chest). This doesn't seem to happen so far with my night time doses of the same medicines.
I don't understand why it's happening. I also start to get a fever as it starts every morning and feel really wiped out and weak and have to lay down.
Could it be the Ceftin causing abnormal heart rhythm? Or could it be the Lyme?
I was thinking about
what the difference could be between my morning and night time doses...The only thing I can figure out is that all day I am eating/drinking/going to the bathroom/moving which maybe that is helping to get toxins out of my body. At night I am sleeping and not moving/eating/drinking/going to the bathroom. So maybe my body is full of toxins in the morning and when I take my medicines my body is overloaded with toxins and having reactions. Any thoughts on if I might be right?
Are skipped heart beats and all that I'm mentioning Lyme symptoms or are they Ceftin side effects? Or herx reaction symptoms?
Heart rate goes up to between 90-110 BPM and skipped beats are about
every other beat for reference when this is happening after my morning doses. This morning I decided to see if it would make a difference to take the ursodiol first and wait about
an hour before the Ceftin and drink some lemon water. It has already been much less severe this morning I believe due to trying those minor changes.
Also how much lemon water is advisable to drink? How do you make yours?
And one more question: I am still having daily fevers of 99.5-99.9 degrees f. Is that a bad sign as to if the Ceftin is working?
Any thoughts would be so appreciated!
