Doxycycline herx?

I have positive seraspot borrelia. Positive elispot ehrlichia, yersinia and coxsackie.

Being in uk NHS test negative and no treatment. I know doxycycline isn't enough but I needed something to help with my symptoms and chronic fatigue. I started doxycycline three days ago and my body is unbeatably heavy, tired, fatigued. I have absolutely no energy, I'm struggling. I can't work and I don't get paid. My chest palpitations are stronger. I feel like I have the flu.

Should I stop doxycycline? Amy advice please as in not sure how long I can handle these symptoms for. Should I stop doxycycline?

Sorry to hear of these issues!

The timing is right for a herx - sorry.

What all are you doing for detoxing?

Detoxing is our only way of taming herxes that will help us better handle treatments.

In the meantime, you might want to lower your doxy dose (or stop it for a few days) until increased detoxing can get you back to a manageable level.

I am so sorry you are feeling so sick!

I agree with cd. You are likely experiencing a bad herx. The detoxing should help with that. Also rest and drink a lot of H2o. Sometimes you just need to back down from the dosage you are taking for a few days. I am not sure I would stop though unless you can fill in with another method of healing such as Buhner or Cowden.

I hope you will get through this quickly so you can get back to work. cry

I'm not doing any detox as I'm at work. I don't get paid and I have family to support. People keep saying how terrible I look.

I will try the detox when I get home. Thanks for the support, appreciate it x

When you're at work, try to do the quick and easy deotx methods.


Eg: put some pinella and burbur in some water and sip on it.

Bring some alka seltzer gold and on your break take one of those.

Drink plenty of water with fresh squeezed lemon juice during the day.

Take probiotics during the day.

When you get home, dry brush your skin and do your detox bath, and try to fit in a binder.

A binder is something that you ingest that will bind to the toxins in your digestive system and usher them out.

I use Activated charcoal. (I bought it from the local Health food store)

Others are:
Chlorella
Bentonite Clay
Diamotaceous Earth (food grade)

Cholestyramine (prescription)

That's not a complete list.

**When you take them, they have to be taken 2-3 hours away from everything else...as they usher everything out...including medications, food, etc. - everything in your stomach, intestines.
