red man syndrome or niacin flush?

Last week i was infusing my 2g roceph in the morning and ate 50mg niacin andbhad this huge reactio where i turned lobster like for 2 hrs ...i just tried niacin flush with same amount and it was a no go..did not happen ..i have to infuse tomarrow and am kinda freakednout ..i have been pulsing roceph for 3 months . Is this common ..i do bvt also and read that red man with vanco isbusually a mast cell activation thingy ...should i be concerned try a gram n see..? Should i ask my llmd ? Go fornit not do it ..no reactiin when i did the zith later ...oh geez ..ideas? Im deaconblue not deacon red

Ok roceph was fine...but if you mix no flush niacin and hcl it becomes supa flush...
