"ST. GEORGE, Utah – A new discovery by Soft Cell Biological Research at a Dixie State University lab is considered a breakthrough in science when it comes to finding bacteria in blood.
Soft Cell Biological Research founder Brent Hunt, in cooperation with DSU students, have been testing L-form bacteria for the past two years. The studies have proven that the bacteria can virtually survive in the blood for years, with no cell walls, and goes undetected.
The researchers have tested over 500 human blood samples and have since discovered over 150 new bacteria.
“We couldn’t have ever predicted, but we have over 150 bacteria to introduce to science.” said Soft Cell’s Founder and CEO John Brent Hunt.
The new discoveries could change the way doctors and scientists approach medicine and treatments in the future."

If they recognize and develop testing for L form bacteria, it would help Lyme patients as well!!!

Can you imagine how it would change "our" world? Being able to diagnose chronic Lyme by the L-form bacteria???? Fingers and toes crossed!!!

Oh. This would be so wonderful. When the CDC and insurance companies hear about this they'll immediately start figuring out a way to say that it's not legit.

Cool post! Thanks! Admittedly I know very little about L-forms but I suppose that will have to change. I wonder what the implications for this are. The idea of so many bacteria is overwhelming

It's not a 'Lyme only" issue is what may save all Lyme patients! That's why it might make it through all the processes it needs to go through. We have a ton of proof that Lyme creates these L-form bacteria that can't be detected any other way, so it will only have to be 'applied' to Lyme.

great point trav, its not as easily dismissed as coming from "lyme loonies" when it is applied to lyme testing...

the ramifications of it are huge, as the cdc "post lyme syndrome" shiite cannot stand if bacteria is found

I'm still thinking that it would have a hard time becoming "standard" because of the huge implications it would have on our healthcare system. It may be effective at diagnosing a wide array of things...and how much more work/cost would that create for insurance companies? TONS. So do you think they're going to want this thing to "get out"? For them, ignorance is bliss. If we don't know we have a "bacterial infection" then we won't seek expensive treatment to get rid of it.

I am hopeful that it can penetrate the political healthcare market in our country, but I'm not putting all my eggs in that basket. haha. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer...but I have a unique perspective into this subject matter.

The thing is, they can't stop it!! LOL! Public opinion has a lot to do with policies, and since this affects so many that don't have Lyme, as well as those that do, that we actually stand a chance of it getting the recognition it deserves - especially if we "help" it along!! I've posted it on Facebook, Twitter and on Google + to help get the word out!! devil
