Hi all,
So, I just got back from being in the hospital for 3 days. Long story short, I was convinced I had a complete relapse of Lyme so I checked myself into the ER. I went in with a 103 degree fever and a high white blood cell count (sign of infection) as well as a ton of muscle/join aches among a million other things. Well, they took about 25 different vials of blood from me for testing. They couldn't find anything wrong. After awhile, I convinced my doctors that I was experiencing lyme/co-infection problems and to get me an IGENEX test. Among this, they also were doing blood cultures (which usually take about 3 days to hear back) to see what other bacteria is growing. Eventually, the doctors listened to me (because I was WAY more knowlegeable on Lyme and co-infections than they were) and got me the Lyme and co-infection testing from IGENEX. I'm not too sure how long it'll take to get the results back from that.
They also gave me 3 weeks of doxy (which I asked for) to help with all of the awful symptoms I've been having. Nothing I did on my own gave me any relief so I had to go to the ER. They ended up keeping me overnight and I just got home. My question is, should I use Japanese Knotweed with the abx since it's highly systemic? I'm feeling a bit better than when I initially went in, but still having some vision problems (hoping the abx will help). My fever is back to normal and I'm going to attempt to go to work tomorrow. If I can make it through tomorrow, I have a 3 day weekend to rest up.
I'm just glad my hospital doctors were open minded enough to listen to my recommendations. I really hope that this will give me the relief I need because I've been dealing with a scale of 10 out of 10 with my lyme symptoms for over a week now with NO relief until I checked myself into the ER.
Anybody have any recommendations?

EDIT - We're waiting on a bunch of lab results from all the blood work they sent out.
