I believe I'm suffering from Chronic Lyme. And so I'm hoping to find others who have Lyme symptoms similar to mine, to see if they can offer any suggestions for diminishing (or curing?) these symptoms, which have worked for them, and might work for me.
My symptoms are brain fog and fatigue, which are brought on by sleeping. So I now wake up foggy and sluggish, whereas I used to wake up alert, happy, intelligent and full of energy. Typically, I feel better as the day goes on, though always prone to fatigue and fog.
These symptoms are also brought on by napping during the day. Hence, I used to feel immediately refreshed by napping, and now it's more likely the opposite.
These two symptoms fluctuate, in terms of how I feel when I awaken, and whether they dissipate faster or slower. But I can't figure out why they fluctuate. I can't correlate my symptoms with any factors. I go through periods when they are better, and worse. Plus they fluctuate on a day to day basis.
So my questions are:
What might likely be the cause of the fluctuations in these symptoms? That I can do something about, in order to lessen them.
What can I do to diminish these symptoms after I wake up?
Why are my symptoms aggravated by sleeping? What is the physiological process which is causing my fog and fatigue? Is it a matter of sleep, or being horizontal? Or both?
These are large questions, and my apologies if they've already been replied to. And if anyone can recommend some source for me to read about my specific symptom pattern, that would also be appreciated.
