Hope I don't jinx myself LOL
Just broke through another "barrier", .......(a pattern this month)........while knowing not to over do it (sound familiar?)
I repeatedly over did it in the past (pre-lyme treatment) like many here, with way LESS weight, so I am getting stronger, more structurally balanced now. Less gate problems, none some days, no limping.. But my left foot is taking longer to improve than anything else, walks good, but doesn't like standing in place more than 5 min.
I really backed off exercise this summer to concentrate on manual muscle/joint/tendon work/repair, in order to improve my exercise recovery. I started working out again but slowly in "test mode".
Its been a mystery as to when I will plateau and need more "repair" work. Its like test driving an old beater car every step as you fix everything wrong with it.
I would almost like a current x-ray to see if there is visible spinal improvements from 5 years ago (was crooked) when I felt like I was wearing a straight jacket.
Really loosened up my hips/thighs/glutes after months of "hands on" repair, now those muscles are more balanced and dont hurt during workouts, I am still abnormally sore days after, but the pattern is way less. And I use this soreness as guide/ evidence for needing more repair in those areas. The looser hip muscles/joints threw off the body tension balance making my tight upper shoulders/neck more apparent, which I sought help from a past chiro - and that at least temporarily became way more flexable than past efforts. Crossing my fingers this resurfaced neck tension will stay balanced out after working on it.
Gotta peel the onion evenly. This improvement is so... s l o w, everything not just these symptoms. Guess that's what 25 years of lyme symptoms does to a Quintagenarian. I unfortunately doubt I will ever feel 100% better again (Hashimoto isn't going away), but if I could be close to pain free (A DREAM), that would be life changing. I cant remember what it feels to to get out of bed walk/stand in the morning with out being really sore. At least Its been better this week. Hoping less daily pain will = less daily fatigue.
