is it possible to experience a herx within hours of your first dose of ABX?

Yes. This usually indicates a high bacterial load.

Did you start off on a "full" dose? If so, you should work to end the herx with detoxing and then restart with a lower dose.

I did a 250mg tablet a few hours ago. I just feel extra tired

I'm sorry, I'm not that familiar with the abx and their doses. Is that a full dose according to the instructions? When are you supposed to take your next dose?

Zithromax attaches to white blood cells and goes directly to the site of infection. I have terrible, long-lasting herxes with Zithro. It has high affinity on Bart and Babesia.

I was on 500 mg twice daily of Zithro.
I see that dosage often.

Tick41 - if you're supposed to take a second dose...maybe don't...and bump up your detoxing.

The thing about zithro, is it has a long half life...so it's in your system a long time.
