So I believe I talked to Girlie in another thread who said its better to do combo antibiotic therapy rather than using just one. What antibiotic or even antiprotozoal drugs work best together?

There are a lot of different combos

Macrolide plus tetracycline : (macrolide: Zithromax / biaxin)
(Tetracycline: Mino / doxy)

Ceftin and Biaxin

Ammoxicillin and Biaxin

Zithromax and Mepron

Biaxin and Mepron

Mino and Mepron

Doxy and Mepron

Ceftin and Mino

Rifampin and doxy....or minocycline....or biaxin

Mino and Tindamax

Ceftin and Tindamax

Biaxin and Tindamax

Bactrim and Zithromax

Bactrim and Biaxin





There are more combos than what I have listed.
I've never been on Plaquenil and don't really know much about it.

also depends what infections and coinfections combos you are dealing with. Do you have an idea of what infections you may be dealing with?

Most of what I posted is for Lyme - except the Rifampin combos are for Bart, and the Mepron combo for Babesia.

Also, Bactrim has some effect on Bartonella.

I don't know what infection I have sebreg, I wish I did. I tested negative on labcorp testing for Lyme and co-infections, but was bit by tick back in 2010 and recently started having all these strange symptoms.

Girlie, do you feel better on antibiotic compared to when you were on Buhner's? I started Ceftin but I need to call my LLMD to request another antibiotic. I hope he prescribes.
