Stress or coinfection symptoms?

Not sleeping well in 4 days is enough to stress your body along with the original stress of last week.

You need to "catch up" on that sleep. Is there anything that makes you sleep well that you can take?

Or what are you taking that you need to lessen because it is interfering with your sleep?

Lyme is such a trial and error guessing game. We search and hunt for what works and even then it can become a search for the right combination of meds/herbs.

I know what I do when I don't sleep well, I have to take liquid children's benadryl - and I hate the taste of kid cherry stuff! But, to get that necessary sleep, I chug it down quick.

Huddie - what time of day are you taking the last dose of Eleuthero? I'm not sure if that is contributing, but maybe try not taking it past early afternoon...and see if that helps.


If you need to take a valium tonight to allow your body to rest...then do it. Sleep is so important.

I only take eleuthero in the morning because I'm so sensitive. I take it at about 7:00am.

I would back down on the eleuthero and see what happens. I am not a fan of Siberian Ginseng for my body. My body hates it. I don't sleep well on it at all even if taken in the morning - tried it. It also made my heart race with only 1 drop of the tincture. So, I went without it. I still healed without it.

With all of the herbs you have to balance it and see what the improvements are from it. If there are no improvements, why take it? If there are side effects, it probably is not what you want to take.

Like I wrote to someone else this morning, it is all a serious game of trial and error with meds/herbs.

Sometimes we want to take something and feel like we should because others are doing it and doing well, but we just can't. This is our individuality. We are unique. Or else we would all have the same name. lol!

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the wisdom/guidance. I am not taking any other herbs besides the eleuthero right now. I stopped ashwaganda because I felt that was interrupting sleep -even though I only took it in the mid morning. I am super sensitive. The eleuthero really helps with fatigue. Completely takes it away. I only take two drops. Was up to three (huge for me) but dropped back down yesterday. I won't take any tomorrow and see how my sleep is. I am the poster girl for the stress-wellness connection. Wow.

To de-stressing! Pre-lyme I would take a hot bath and a nap when too stressed to sleep but no more hot baths :(

Hi. Thank you for these very helpful tips. Sound advice. Most of my pre lyme hobbies involve exercise/activity but my inside hobbies are reading, selling things on Ebay (great side business for those who stay in a lot) and cooking. I normally feel well enough for short walks and errands but not today. My stress is from my son. He started a new high school and has been crying each day. I know he's 14, but he is delayed in growth/puberty and looks/acts 12. He failed his first test and has never failed a test in his life. Anyway he's been feeling really bad about himself over a few things, and as a parent I'm his sounding board. I literally seem to take on his energy (I'm like a sensitive sponge). I honestly think he may have lyme. His moods seem to be all over the place, very little stamina, low appetite, sick again (second low grade fever/cold in three weeks - although I thought lyme patients don't get colds). I know I can't fix it all but it keeps me up all night. It is so hard as a parent to hear your child saying negative things about themselves.

You are the best! Wow you looked 13 at 18. I'm sure you didn't like it then but you LOVE it now. Go YOU! I also looked younger but not like that and of course, now it's all a thing of the past. I always keep busy. It's probably why my worry comes out at night. I have an Ebay store (that I have always done on the side and in between working out of the house), I clean, cook, read, meditate, and walk our dog. I volunteer at a nursing home. My mother was a seamstress and a master quilter - sadly I have none of her skills. I wanted to learn to sew as a girl but she wouldn't teach me. She made all my clothes because we were poor and she decided that I wouldn't have to do that. We should have a thread - since we all have extra down time - what we do in that down time. I have to ask, what is gourd art? Is it like potato painting? Your house sounds fun. I imagine a farm and crafts all day. Heaven. TGIF everyone!

I love that gourd art. My mom would go crazy for it. Right up her alley. The closest I get to that is pumpkin carving, and I'm terrible at that too. There is a fair this weekend you would love. It's called the Fall Festival and Hancock Shaker Village. All critters and home made goods. Don't think I'm making it this year.

We are all grateful for your HW devotion but it is much more than a hobby. You mods are saving us. By the way has anyone heard from JustMike. I keep thinking of him.

Huddie regarding the Ashwanganda, have you tried opening the capsule and just taking 1/4 until you can work up to taking more. I tried taking it last year and just couldn't, but now it's a whole different story. Here is what I am beginning to believe. When our bodies really need something it becomes agreeable, but when it doesn't need it, no matter now little you take, your body will not process it. I also know that as we change, what the body needs, changes.

Thats great to take it slow. I can't take JK at all. Yesterday's muscle testing by one of my practitioners revealed that my body didn't need/like it, however it did like Stephania which is what they say to take if you can't take JK. But even with that I have to go slow. Though I haven't tried it in about 3 weeks.
