Hi...I had to stop antibiotics due to yeast issues...im on 30 days of diflucan...after three weeks of meds I started feeling so awful again. I'm waking up at 4am with vibrations...I have burning headaches, noise in my head along with pressure feeling in my ears....hands get pins and needles..face feels hot....and just an overall sick feeling. Oh I forgot my feet have been hurting an I know that's a sign of Bart. I just don't know what to do....I can't get back on antibiotics because of my stomach. Can you have die off from taking Diflucan? I'm nervous that because I'm off treatment for three weeks these infections are going to get out of control.

keep on fighting. I'm not sure about Diflucan, but from my experience it seems as if you were going through herxeimer reactions resulting from the die off of Lyme from the anti-biotics. What antibiotics were you using and were you taking them with food and taking a 10-20 billion probiotic 2 hours after taking the antibiotic with food? This would help immensely with being able to handle the antibiotic. Also, there are plenty of ways to beat the Lyme without traditional antibiotics, I myself am on antibiotics, but also am following the core protocol of stpehan buhner, which is supposed to work (maybe take a little longer, but still work) without the aid of antibiotics. I can copy you on the core protocol if you would like. It can also be found, i'm sure, in a Buhner related thread on here.

I've been off antibiotics for three and half weeks.and have tolerated them well until now..this is the toughest part...not knowing if it's die off or if it's worsening of the bacteria. For now I'm upping my detox. I was taking ceftin 500 2 x a day since April. Before that i was on azith and bactrim. Yes I'm on a orthobiotic 2x a day I believe each capsule is 20 billion. I also drink kefir. Just frustrating on the bad days.

Things will get better. Please try to think positive, I know it can be hard but our mind is a powerful tool.

Hang in there, you will get better with treatment. talk to your LLMD about rifampin and addressing Bart fist?

Lynbrez I'm so sorry that you had to stop the abx, however there are other ways to heal. This can include herbs, ozone, rife, bee venom, etc. I would highly encourage you to purchase Stephen Buhners books with relation to what you are dealing with. He has a Lyme book as well as co-infection books. Also please note that depending on your symptoms and what your body may or may not tolerate will become YOUR specific protocol. So while Stephen has core protocols you will find that many people have to modify based on what they need.

Yes, you can have die off from Candida and it's just like a herx from Lyme. So if you aren't detoxing much during this time, please start to do more.

For Buhner's basic protocol, you can find it here: buhnerhealinglyme.com/ Although, his books (which aren't very expensive) contain a lot more information and an extended protocol to help deal with the specific symptoms with the infections. His books are available from many stores, including Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other online places you can buy books.

Just a little hint from buhner's book here. In his core protocol he has 12 items/supplements to take. There is but one for "antispirochetal" purposes though and that is Andrographis capsules. 600mg/3x a day. then increasing to 1,200mg/3x a day.

I have not fully integrated my system to the entire core protocol yet, but cat's claw tincture has seemingly helped quite a but since I started it about 4-5 days ago. Cat's Caw or Uncaria Tomentosa bark (latin) is the #1 item on Buhner's list for Immune remodulation, I have also not seen too many people with adverse effects, it doesnt taste half bad either....

...I would also really say from my own belief and experience...Kefir is great stuff, but it is a very heavy dairy item, some people have difficulty digesting dairy, especially when on antibiotics, I would suggest not drinking a ton of it, especially not within 2 hours of consuming the antibiotic, as it can bind with the AB and make it less effective. I found for myself, for example, that chugging kefir before bed is not a good idea...
Those 10-20 billion pills have way more in them than kefir anyways, and the bacteria is much more diverse, I would really suggest just drinking plenty (a lot) of water with the probiotics.
