Its not worth it anymore for me

Sam, are you currently in an area where you have access to a lyme literate doctor and a psychologist? Lyme can be a difficult battle and seeing a psychologist can help, I know that it is just treating one of the symptoms, but talking with somebody outside of your family can help immensely. I have seen a psychologist many times and have had a couple I have really liked seeing.. That being said I know how difficult it can be, I have been on antidepressants and ant anxiety meds for over 8 years now since developing symptoms back in 2006. Just recently I was diagnosed with chronic lyme by a specialist and although the treatment has made things worse, some things that doctors told me were either "all in my head" or "never going to get better" have indeed improved. My eyesight is better and my eye floaters have been reduced a bit. I still sleep most of the day and feel depressed most of the time, but hope is the main factor here in persisting through the treatment.

I like Goldengoose's suggestion. I've participated in Cognitive Behavioral therapy (before I knew had lyme) in an attempt to manage my stress/anxiety and other feelings. CBT might play a role in helping with chronic disease, and a quick google of "CBT Chronic disease" revealed a few articles.

While they are written for chronic pain, I'm sure you can almost replace chronic pain with chronic fog and you will get the idea.

I'm so happy that you posted and let us know you are okay... That alone makes me feel good.. Please keep posting even if you have negative thoughts or just want to vent okay? Venting is healthy! You should have read my posts when I was in bad shape, yeah, I was some whiner!!
