recognize this rash anyone?

So for the last year I have had these rashes that just show up. Some times they are long and skinny and sometimes they are round the shape almost always changes. I am just curious if anyone knows which infection this may be from?

Causes such as what? Any ideas would be useful. I am trying to work through this as one of the reoccurring symptoms with my MD. There have been numerous blood tests showing blood counts and platelets to be normal. The only thing that seems to go out of whack with blood work is my CPK will spike from time to time as will my alt/ast. Everything else seems to be within range.

Hmm that does make me wonder. I have had issues with thrush and have been treated multiple times with fluconazole and am currently on a 1 week on 1 week off with the fluconazole. I wonder if that is not a possibility. Also I was treated with artemisinin for suspected babesia for a couple of months but have not been on it for a while as one of the antibiotics I am on can not be taken with any sort of alcohol so no tinctures. I will have to look into this. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Is that the 3 days on and 1 week off? What about the artemesia then was I not supposed to pulse that?

I'm not sure I'd start treating babesia just because of that rash. I'd need more information before I started down that road.

Georgia Hunter. I agree although I will consider it because of some of the other symptoms that I have had my MD had me treating babesia before this came up so I am curious if maybe it is related.

K07 it is a possibility, I will check into if the pics look simaler although as you all know it is just so much to process that it can make you go crazy sometimes. I was speaking to a lady that runs a health food store about herbal alternatives for some of the abx that I am on, and one of the first things she asked was with the symptoms had I ever thought about being tested for non hodgkins lymphoma!!! hmm yeah there is a lot to think about. yikes

Diflucan may not be helping if it's more fungal than yeast. Do a search on mold+rash and see if any look similar. We have some type of fungal issue within our family. Ketoconazole shampoo has worked wonders. Maybe your md would be willing to try out some fungal creams.

However, want to caution that usually the rash is just a visible sign that something is going on inside. So treating topically will probably not solve the issue long term.

Is it possible that you also have mold exposure in addition to Lyme? Have you noticed any rhyme or reason to the rash?

Thanks for posting this. This got me thinking! I've been negative for candida albicans, but I know I have some type of yeast thing going on. Diflucan (3 weeks) did nothing for me. But now you made me wonder if it's possibly more fungal than yeast. Hmmm... (Although my swabs at clinic say it's yeast... do labs typically distinguish between fungal and yeast then?)

BTW, how are your kids? Are you continuing to treat them? Were you the one who asked about the iSpot previously, and if so, did you ever get it? It's so hard to follow on this board sometimes, so sorry if you already covered all this! :)

Diflucan didn't do much for me either. I haven't figured our issue out yet. I have no idea how to differentiate between candida and fungal. We are in the process of testing our house for mold - I hope to get an answer next week. I have the positive gliotoxin in my urine which is supposed to be candida or mold. My kids definitely have some fungal or yeast issue. So tiring trying to figure all this out!

The kids seem to be doing pretty good (thanks for asking!). I still have not done the ispot - hopefully next year.

Could it be "Petechiae", google for pictures, pretty sure it's a symptom of some tick borne illness?
