There is a lot of talk about this in the "natural health" community so to speak.

I had quite a few tests done which relieved nothing.

Regardless the doc had me on L-lisene (500 then 1000mg daily) and eating a handful berries every day. Said all lymies have some hidden viruses that stick around past lyme - so this is a good idea.

If this were true., I dont see how the above would be enough to make a difference. Shooting in the dark is generally not to effective. Having a real target is another thing.

Has anyone dove deeper into this area?

astroman, my whole journey, actually, has been a bit of shooting in the dark in that my bloodwork was not CDC positive. First time around - nothing showed up on ANY bands. Then, after a month of treatment, with IGEN-X, band 41 was active. Lyme is a clinical diagnosis, and blood work just supports this diagnosis, and with a clinical diagnosis - the "proof" you have are the symptoms and how one responds to treatment. I don't have an LLMD, but the one person I saw who was well respected in our community, who had a few bed ridden lymies that made good progress expressed being willing to experiment a bit was necessary-sadly he died, but I kept that bit of wisdom in charting my own journey. I'd google lyme and viruses and see what comes up. I never take what a Dr. says at face value, but also do my own research and ask more questions. Very good question!

My understanding is that we all have a lot of viruses in us. I think it is 90% have HHV-6B in infancy and HHV-6A arrives by adulthood.

Shingles is a re-activated virus.

I think helping an immune system is key.

I also think, from the studying I have done, is that old people don't get colds, flu and pneumonia easier than a young person because of a decline in their immune system. My research is showing the opposite - that it is an over active immune response.

Adaptogens are where I put my $ for helping my immune system. Mostly because my calendar says I am growing into that old category.

Look for tintures and other stuff that is specifically anti-vital or works across bacterial, viral, and fungal pathogens. Takuna and Colloidal Silver come to mind.

My last set of labs targeted a handful of virus tests, which I plan to discuss with my LLMD next appointment. Some of the tests were off the charts.

Coxsackie Group A IgG were 8x the norm at 1:800 and one item (A16) was 1:1600, but all IgM items were negative.

Many EBV IgG titters were also high, with IgM negative.

CMV Abs were both negative. HHV-6 was positive at 2.10, double the .99 level.

I couldn't locate a lab report from March 2011 that may have included some of these tests to compare to.
But I recall both EBV and HHV-6 were elevated back then, but my LLMD said it was common for those with Lyme and wasn't concerned. I hope the latest test are comparable to back then and she also shows little concern. After seeing the latest report (I get copied on all labs so I don't have to wait for my next appointment to get them) I did add Takuna and have seen some improvement over the past six week.

I had chicken pox as a kid, but to my surprise did not have any of the many herpes tests elevated.

Hard to find Dr that know this stuff, at least they all test for hep c now.

Prob with silver, is it kills good stuff too.

Never heard of takuna, have to read up on it.

My story is similar to multifactedme. Never a positive Lyme test, but treating based on symptoms. And it has been a lot of shooting in the dark. The only thing I knew for certain with this journey based on tests was that I had my share of reactivated viruses. EBV and HHV6 being the most prominent.

I am taking Takuna for reactivated viruses. It is rather strong and it has taken me several months to get up to 18 drops a day. I also had my first LDI treatment for EBV a week and a half ago.

I was taking monolaurin a couple of months ago,but I seem to be allergic, but I have to tell you, I was feeling rather good taking it. I had gotten up to 3,500 mg a day.

Nutramedix makes takuna. I tried it last year - started at full dose and didn't notice anything. Taking lauricidin now and antiviral (famvir). I may be a bit less tired - prob 50% better but that is all I am noticing. My ebv igg was above the range so I didn't even get a number. Hhv-6 elevated too.

I agree vaccines have monkey serum and all are given hh6 and ebv ...bvt kills viruses i stung a cold sore and propolis gone in 2 days

I think what bluelyme means is many vaccines use monkey cells (kidney) as culture medium. Are you saying viruses are passed through vaccine, bluelyme?

Yep ...many viruses of herpes family are from the monkey phylum not human ...and have only proliferated since polio,mmr and others have been implemented ..if ebv causes cancer and 1 of 2 is supposed to get it ...it make me wonder ...every body knows that hpv and throat cervical cancer link ..its on tv now ..and h pylori and stomach cancer ...so if one spirochet can then what can lyme do?..alan macdonald show 9 of 19 brain cancers have spirochetes and that scopion venom is curing some brain cancers ...
