Golden Milk (Turmeric Milk)

I went to the health food store and got the ingredients and this is what we will be doing in our home now.

Hubby sometimes has sleep issues. Just has trouble some nights, so this is suppose to be a great drink for him in the evening. He will leave out any sweeteners - he never does sweeteners anyway - he hates sugar. He is from another planet, that's what I tell him.

Me, well I have joint issues. I am a great inflammation maker. If the barometer changes, I will find inflammation somewhere in me. My sinuses love to become inflamed, my lymph system too.

There are a huge number of videos for Golden Milk or Turmeric Milk online. I am going to make my turmeric paste and keep it in the refrigerator.

1/2 c water
1/4 c turmeric powder. I don't have the fresh grated root amount, sorry.
Remember turmeric will stain anything. You cook this while stirring over med heat until it becomes a paste. about 7-9 minutes. If it gets to thick, add a little more water. This will keep in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.

You can use this paste to make Golden Milk, Golden Rice or Golden Yogurt.

The doctor said 1/2 - 1 teasp, 2 times a day and in 3-4 days pain will decrease.

For evening time better sleep, it is suggested that you use cow's milk because of the calcium and magnesium. For pain I plan on using coconut milk. I love the taste of coconut. But goat, almond or rice are okay. I always am concerned with soy milk because so much of the soy produced in the world is genetically modified and I am not sure what the outcome of that will be yet.

Anyway, here's to us that hurt or can't sleep. Maybe this is the answer. Please let me know if you try it and how it works for you, or if like me, what splotch of orange is now on your apron. LOL!!

I deal with gallstones and have read that turmeric is bad if you have any gall stones. Does anyone know if this is true? I have a lot of inflammation. Don't we all!
