Saw the new doc today!

I really liked him. He spend so much time asking me questions and getting all my symptoms. I think he uses Horowitz's MSIDS approach to chronic disease whether it's Lyme, fibro, CFS, ect. Anyway, he is testing CD 57, adrenal function (spit test) and a toxicity screen.
He is having me start LDN and glutathione, using Uvex blue light blocking glasses at night to help with melatonin production, and he strongly encouraged me to get a sauna. Or at the least, take hot hot baths while drinking hot ginger tea to get myself sweating 30 minutes 3-4x a week.
I see him again in a week for a physical exam and CD 57 results and possibly beginning antibiotics. He wants to start me on Doxy if my CD 57 comes back low. His Lyme protocol is a combo of herbs and antibiotics. Starting out with Doxy and samento and banderol. He likes to have his patients on antibiotics for 6 months and then switch to an all herbal protocol for a year or more.
I was encouraged by my visit with him.

If your CD 57 doesn't come back low - will he not treat you?

Is your glutathione going to be via IV?

I'm not sure about that Girlie, he talked to me about how my test result doesn't mean I don't have Lyme. How it'd be like walking into a house and asking if the kids are home but only checking the hallway, however the kids are upstairs in their rooms. So the blood test is like just checking the halls, meanwhile Lyme is good at hiding in joints, your heart and your brain. So I don't know that he'd not treat it, I think he just wants to be thorough. I am continuing the samento and banderol in the meantime.
The glutathione is actually oral, tastes nasty. lol.

My understanding is that the oral glutathione smells like rotten eggs! LOL!

Yeah, I feel like I'm in good hands. He's checking into all sorts of stuff. I just remembered he wants to order a sleep study too. I'm going to do the saliva stress test tomorrow. Ugh, spit grosses me out so bad. Like, seeing it. haha.
Yeah, the glutathione tastes very sour. The one he gave me has orange oil mixed with it to try and fool you it's just citrus but nope, it's just nasty.
