EBV, Mycoplasma P, Chlamydia P, HHV-6

Hi, it's been a while since I have posted but I have some new questions. First I want to thank this group for answering my questions and encouraging me to seek testing for my now 10-year-old daughter back in April. I am so grateful! Lyme disease has since been confirmed (specific bands through Igenex testing in July) and just this month (November)she tested CDC positive for IgM Lyme disease through MDL (lab). She also has tested and is positive for PANDAS/PANS. Her most recent tests through MDL (last week) have also indicated IgM positive for EBV-EA-D and Mycoplasma Pnemoniae. I was told these are active infections. She was IgG positive for HHV-6 and Chlamydia Pnemoniae. My question is: do the IgG tests indicate chronic infection or do they only indicate past exposure? She has so much going on it's hard to understand what is causing her symptoms- maybe we will never know-- I just hope to finally get her on the right path to tx. I do believe she was infected in late July of 2015 and symptoms started in September of 2015. She took amox for 8 days due to strep in late November/early December 2015 but had a horrible response so had to stop. After the Lyme dx she took Biaxin for a few weeks then doxy for several weeks then Keflex for 2 weeks. (Her pediatrician had agreed to treat her but started questioning the Lyme and stopped the antibiotics about a month ago). I did not really like the LLMD because he did not spend a lot of time with us so I took my daughter last week to a PANDAS nurse practitioner who is very familiar and accepting of Lyme. She is the one who ran the recent tests and I have a phone appt. with her on Monday. I want to be able to ask pertinent questions in a timely manner as I am paying out of pocket per 15 mins of time. Any advice? Thank you!!

I'll just answer with regards Cpn (chlamydia pneumoniae), as that's what I know about. Dr Charles Stratton, who has studied Cpn extensively and devised the Cpn protocol at Vanderbilt University, has said that that IgG positive means chronic active Cpn infection. Like borrelia, it doesn't follow the usual antibody rules.

Hi Celeste Hi Traveler, thanks for your responses. I do believe her response to amox was a herx (debilitating migratory arthritis, itchy rashes, head to toe, hives everywhere, dermatographia). The doctors never figured it out but did not believe it was an allergic reaction or serum sickness so looking back my best guess is a herx. I did dry brushing and Epsom salt baths for a while but she started to refuse them. The NP diid have me buy Bolymex, which is supposed to help her detox. I think I need to be more stern about the brushing/baths. I will certainly ask about other detox ideas and I will check out the CPN site. Thank you!!

My doctor and a leading functional medicine doctor has stated that if those numbers are high, 9 times out 10, it is the body currently dealing with those infections. I tested positive for all of those except for CPN. You definitely want to lower those numbers.
