So which great herbs am I missing in my current protocol(yes im taking all these!)

Bring me what you think through experience or knowledge/intuition/research.

Only herbs...no mentioning supplements lols.

The only successful protocol(besides herbals perhaps) I can recall for treating long term lyme is a mix of 3 antibiotics prescription drugs....although I am not taking antibiotics prescription drugs...im keeping an open mind to use a mix of different herbals to treat my lyme.

Anyone have experience with the following herbs tea form?

Andrographis
Hawthorne


..these ones i may add in the future..

I may or may not add a herb mix #3

I have nothing to offer except to say I am very envious that you can take in all of those herbs. I WISH I could get that many into me.

When you say the 'only successful' protocol was abx. - why aren't taking abx now? What made you switch?

Huddie....I NEVER took antibiotics for lyme.... but it looks very promosing for lyme if done right...the reason I believe antibiotics may work, is because I've heard success stories.

there's a catch though....and I think that you need the right antbiotics ( a combination of 3 antibiotics) and also duration.

I definetely would not want to be taking 3 antibiotics prescription drugs at the same time. I don't think it would sit well with me. I'm all for natural approach.

There is one success story that is the main one that sticks out....it's from a man with the name "Lymster" on youtube. he explains his success of the right triple antibiotic protocol taken for 44 months!

:) ....

I find a good protocol needs to be not only vast, but powerful as well.

Four antibiotics for 44 months. Wow.

I don't do well with them either and am hoping I can heal with herbs. My son is on three right now and he's never taken an antibiotic in his life. I am so worried about it. Watching carefully. Hopefully kids are stronger.

Andrographis is very good ...i herxed hardest on that ..the samento is the same as cat claw except toa free...Chinese cats claw(unticaria rhnchophilia)helps with the shakes twitch some ..i drank a bottle of hawthorn for heart stuff ..didnt notice but may go back to it ....if circulation is a issue horse chestnut maybe of use

I know we have similar protocols. I am using chronic Tonic but I am also using Houttuynia, which I know you started, plus cryptolepis, hawthorn and andrographis. Cryptolepis is undeniably bitter but it's a good anti parasite. I know Buhner recommends it for Babesia. It's been about 2 weeks since starting all these and so far so good for me.

Samento is essentially cats Claw so I don't think adding it will make a difference

hi sam...good to see someone else following a similar protocol.

I'll have to look into those as well. was thinking of doing andrographis. i also have seen the cryptolepis on buhners site as well. i like bitter things..the bitter the better(in terms of health). bitter is great for liver as well.

i may go that route if you find it effective. plus buhner mentions it!

It looks like a great protocol LD. My only suggestion, and I'm sure you've done this already, would be to use Buhner's new Lyme book and add in other herbs for specific Lyme related symptoms you have. Have you tried Gou Teng?

I guess im not using gout teng...sorry thought it was same as cats claw but i guess not.

What are those lyme specific symptoms and herbs? Do you know any of them from the new book? If so i'd be interested to hear them.

Im rooting to look into cyrptolepis and andrographis so far, possibly hawthorne.
Fourth one will have to be black seeds(the great potentiator! decoct from the seeds. i forget why i stopped this..probably becuz supplements felt too hard..and and tea is easier to take in aka my new method)

sorry!..its to provide focus and not get sidetracked....one leading to another.. i understand some may be necessary and very worthwile..but right now im trying to retain the focus to just herbals(in this thread).

i can make another thread or you can of JUST supplements.

CSA (cryptolepis/sida/alchornea) combination tincture helped us much more than did sida alone.

I second the vote for Gou Teng - it's not the same as "regular" Cat's Claw.

"Regular" Cat's Claw is Uncaria Tormentosa.

Gou Teng is Uncaria Rhynchophylla and Buhner says it's vital for those of us with neuro Lyme.

The Buhner-recommended herblist I consulted has me taking Cat's Claw and Gou Teng.

I also second the vote for owning a copy of Buhner's book ;)
