i think Diflucan (Fluconazole) is a very good borrelia brain infection buster. This drug does not care about BBB, has brain levels between 70 and 90% the blood ones (that is very very very good for an antibiotic).

And deadly to borrelia.... .
This is one of the meds I started with and used for nearly 6 months. It did resolve the crazy systemic yeast problems right down to the yeast in my eye.
At this time, all that I knew for certain is that I had inhaled an ungodly amount of Alternaria Mold long term. I was able to identify it as such due to the large size of the spores which had come to rest on a shelf that I was dusting as well its pattern and rapid growth characteristics.
Upon further research I found that oculomycosis would occur in 9.5% of persons exposed to it as well as invasive and noninvasive rhinosinusitis (8.1%), and onychomycosis (8.1%).
A doctor only saw a ringworm like manifestation that I developed and placed me on Terbinafine 250 mg/ day for 14 days. My left eye was cloudy and sight was degrading slowly.
A strange thing happened an hour after taking the first tablet.
I felt it go to work on the muscle behind my left eye as it began to itch like crazy. It only happened on the first dose but I am convinced it did help eradicate something fungal which would have otherwise destroyed this muscle.
Although the cloudiness of my sight did not clear so I requested Itraconazole and was given it at 100mg for 11 days until I had to stop taking it as I began getting symptoms of congestive heart failure which manifested as increasing chest pain.
This did clear the cloud on the lens of the eye and stopped the degeneration of my sight but the eye was still red and itchy with discharge until I added Doxycycline 100 mg 2x/day and Fluconazole (doses ranging from 150mg to 800mg with an average of 400mg/day).
The eyes got white and 97% better with little to no floaters. The Doxy was 2 weeks on and off for a week and then on for a week at 100mg 3x/day until my kidneys began to feel fatigued and I stopped it.
But there was still something not right with the eye. There was a foreign object feeling in the stroma which did not migrate. I continued the Fluconazole until the eye cleared. There is still some dry eye in the mornings but I am no longer in fear of losing my sight even though I have lost about
10% capacity in the left eye.
But with the knowledge that I now have I believe it may have been more advantageous to address the parasites first along with the other treatments.
I only recently realized I should address a likely parasite issue and began using Ivermectin (horse paste dosed by body weight for 4 days on then 10 days off with current plan to repeat twice with short 1 or 2 day courses). I saw a minimum of 4 types of worms and possibly two other types of parasites in my excrement.
I plan to obtain mebendazole as opposed to albendazole to get the other end of parasites that Ivermectin does not address the likes of hookworm and pinworm and is easier on the system than the latter.
Ivermectin and one of these azoles will wipe out a broad spectrum of parasites.
My general practitioner also placed me on a short course of Nitazoxanide recently as I am having increasing lung pain. It seemed to help but then the pain went bilateral and fierce yesterday so I stopped this med. I've heard this med possibly works on Borellia and Bartonella but it appears people are on this med for up to 17 days and I couldn't tolerate more than 5.
Although I still have the skin tingling sensations while not using Fluconazole it is interesting how Fluconazole will stop this from happening, but the moment I stop taking it the tingling returns. A B complex vitamin will also reduce this symptom for a few hours but I don't take much.
I am torn on supplementation. My concern is that I do not want to be feeding the bacteria the nutrients it needs, but I also believe that once your body completely depletes of needed vitamins or minerals then other serious disease develops.
I still have headaches at times that are always above the right eye but they are less frequent and less severe now. This would previously manifest as a 3 day cluster headache.
Muscle Fatigue eventually forced me to stop the Fluconazole as there is only so much of any azole I can tolerate.
I am adding a Mimosa Pudica tincture that I made to my regimen today as the stuff grows wild all over my yard and I've heard good things about
it. Starting it out slow to be careful as possible and will see if it helps.
Although I now suspect Lyme, I believe mold sickness, Lyme, and Morgellons are very closely related and exposure to one left untreated can lead to the others.
There are no LLMDs near me as I live in the mountains of Panama. In all honesty testing seems less reliable than using presentation of clinical symptoms. These are very prominent symptoms that you know without a doubt that you are experiencing them.
Although I will likely get a CT scan just to make sure no mold is growing in my lungs but if it were I am limited in my options of how I could treat it since I don't tolerate itraconazole well.
Someone who visited me during the mold outbreak returned home and eventually developed Morgellons therefore I feel the dire need to address the current symptoms before it can progress to this difficult state. He was treated with 4 abx and 1 antifungal and is making good progress.
