Anyone visited one of these two facilities??

Hi all. I seem to be stagnating in my treatment with my doctor here in the Seattle area. I am pursuing other treatment options that are a little more well known. I'm still suffering from joint pain, crepitus, and chest pain.

I was interested to see if anyone has visited or knows anyone who has visited one of these facilities:

- Hudson Valley Healing Arts Center. This is a facility ran by the famous Dr. Horowitz. Other than that I know very little of what goes on here. What was your experience here?

-Lyme Disease Mexico. This seems like a more risky option, but I spoke with the doctor. He seemed very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Usually you have to spend about a month down in Puerto Vallarta in treatment. This could potentially be a less expensive option. It seems to be more of a shotgun approach. Anyways, what was your experience?

I haven't gone to either - but, I would also choose Dr. H. over going to Mexico. What I found when things were stuck, or not moving forwards, I needed to switch up my protocol and consider what else might be in the scenario, including things other than lyme or a co-infection.
How long have you been in treatment and what is your current protocol? What is your nutrition and detox like?

I hear you. I am currently awaiting a 2nd round of lyme and co-infection results before changing the protocol at the moment. I have been in treatment for about 6 months. Nutrition is good. Lots of fiber, low carb, lots of vegetables. Little or no gluten. Detox = ACV, sauna, exercise, lots of water, and anti-oxidants. I could do more for detox, but my LLND says that my liver enzymes are fine, indicating that I have no issue detoxing.

Sheeka175 your liver enzymes do not have to be necessarily elevated to indicate a detox issue.

Looks like I may have to add in some more detoxing then.

Have you seen the documentary Under Our Skin? Dr. j. is in that.

Dr. H. would also be good. I think they are both expensive.

Whatever helps me get better. A more advanced treatment plan, stronger meds, different treatments, more knowledgeable doctors and testing. You name it. You have to explore all your options.

I was asking because Mexico is pretty out there so I was wondering if you had researched particular treatment options that that particular clinic offered that you feel would positively impact your treatment. For example some people decide to try "ozone", thus they seek clinics that specialize in those particular treatments.

There are many routes that can be taken but it does at some point become a time where costs may be a factor. Many of us have spent small fortunes chasing many paths of healing.

Have you done a comparison between these clinics and their offerings? Have they provided adequate information regarding their treatment plans and are you ok with what has been presented? What precisely am I not getting now that these clinics will be able to provide? Are there particular tests that they require that I may not want to pay for and can I elect not to do? These are just a few questions that I asked of myself prior to making a decision to go to a clinic for treatment.

Truthfully I don't know exactly what Dr. H's facility has to offer. I would assume it is just specific, extended antibiotic therapy based on testing to determine your infection, symptoms, and co-infections. I'm just enthused about his knowledge, books written by him, and the overall prestige he holds.

The facility in Mexico is pretty out there. It offers Ozone, IV Silver, UV light treatment, Vitamin C, H202, Plasmapheresis, IV Abx, etc. It seems like a one of a kind facility that uses multiple treatment methods in the same location.

I don't have first hand experience - I live in canada - I dream of getting treatment in the U.S.

I have heard some positives..yes...I email with someone who feels he is in good hands...and we have some forum members seeing him, and like him as well.

I like what I saw of him in the documentary, and articles I have read. He does his research.

- I just joined this healingwell community so that I could respond to your question regarding Lyme Mexico. I have been agressively treated for Lyme since 2012. I am going through some major life changes and wanted to try to finally get ahead of the Lyme dance I have been dealing with for too many years now. My Lyme doctor is referring me to Lyme Mexico and so I have been searching for reviews as well as trying to put together a plan to going there perhaps for a few weeks if that is what is required. I would be intrested in sharing information about Lyme Mexico if you choose to go forward with that option.

It seems that personal info sharing is not allowed, so I am not sure how to go about that.

Maybe the moderator could send me a private response.

Krimpet - I am also planning a trip to Florida in the very near future and would ask you to possibly identify the clinic in Florida, if that is allowed.

So many people travel to Sophia Health Institute there in Seattle and have good results. I'm assuming you've been working with them? If not, they are in your neighborhood, so to speak, so may be less costly for you.
