In need of HELP ASAP

Hi Lymies,

I don't have time to give you guys a huge backstory, but I've been suffering for 2 years with pain/psych issues.

"Diagnosed" with a positive ELISA but a "negative" western blot, only band that showed was 39. This was April 2016. TX by PCP NP with Doxy 200mg BID x 6 weeks, no improvement.

She referred me to a clinic where an LLMD works, but I was seeing a "lyme literate" NP who works there. TX with azithromycin 500mg SID x 6 weeks, no improvement. Started Sulfa, could not tolerate it (started having panic attack feeling all day long). Then they decided to try Ivermectin because, parasites, why not? Couldn't tolerate (nor understand why they kept encouraging me not to actually do diagnostics)

Ran Babs/Bart through my primary care NP, as well as Candida panel. Through this all of my chemistrys and CBC have been normal. Thyroid is always normal.


Started seeing a psychiatrist who kept trying to treat me for bipolar. Saw a Rheum because of a postitive ANA, and he dx me with Fibro, says I dont have (and never have had) Lyme. We all know that this is probably not the case.

At this point, I can no longer tell up from down. Now my PCP seems to think "I'm crazy" and she's been dragging out and not complying with any of my requests for which I would like to continue to persue my work up of *** is wrong with me.

I've taken some time off "treatment" and am now only on Gabapentin, Venlafaxine and Methocarbamol.

I have reached the point of "I can no longer take it" and want to go to the hospital. I have two little kids, a husband who works all the time and I feel completely "out of control". I have days where I cannot stop crying. I think this usually is because of anxiety/panic. I had this happen to me on Christmas eve, at my parents house, a place where I normally would do everything in my power to NOT have a mental breakdown in front of everyone. Today, its rage, followed by crying. I have a horrible headache, I'm exhausted. Noise and lights drive me crazy. (This is not the first time that I have felt this way, I think I am just DONE)

So, that being said, what the heck do I do when I get to the hospital? And where do I begin?
I know there have got to be some of you out there who can point me in the right direction, I am just , so lost in this all I don't know what to do other than show up at the hospital and collapse.

If they don't recognize you have lyme, I don't know what they will do if you check into the hospital.
You do not want steroids...or a lumbar puncture.

You mentioned a reaction to a sulfa drug. I'm thinking it could be Bactrim you were on..and I'm also thinking that your reaction (panic) was a herx. Bactrim is a commonly used antibiotic for lyme AND co-infections (bartonella and babesia).

Unfortunately, we often feel worse before we feel better...as the die-off overloads our bodies with toxins.

As Traveler mentioned in her post...detoxing is something that you need to do. It will flush out those toxins that have accumulated.

I was diagnosed with fibro when they couldn't find anything else to say.

Come here - the mods will get you healed -they are healing lyme angels.
