Okay so I have a friend she's 19 and she went to see a llmd because she suspects she has Lyme. Her symptoms vary and include gallbladder issues, bone pain,, aching and burning on the soles of her feet, extreme weakness so she has to use a wheelchair, brain fog, concentration problems, etc.
So her test results are I think one or two positive bands and two indeterminate ones on Igenex. Her CD-57 is 50. However the llmd says that she doesn't have Lyme because her western blot is negative. That a cd57 could be suggestive of Lyme but not enough for a diagnosis nor her bands are enough. But he gave her a antibiotic for a uti for her urine test and then after a few days she started herxing and got a explosion of neuropathy and also muscle pain and fatigue.
Anyways so the doctor ordered a test for western blot for Lyme relapsing fever. And that if her test doesn't come back positive that she doesn't have Lyme but he will give her abx if she really wants to. So my friends mom like basically doesn't want to drive to another llmd farther in the state and just wants to have this llmd prescribe the abx like he said he would even if he doesn't think she has Lyme. But me and. My friend really want her to take her to another llmd cause obviously this guy doesny believe in Lyme being a clinical diagnosis and he doesn't seem to be taking her symptoms seriously enough. She's already been sick for years and labeled a medical mystery by the Cleveland clinic even though obviously it was Lyme all along and niw is in a wheelchair and is constantly deteriorating as time goes on.
What should she say to convince her mom to go see another llmd?
