False positive from mold?

That said also dealing with the mold thing myself. Im skeptical of some of my labwork but we did find mold/bacteria contamination in the HVAC and some cholestyramine isn't the worst thing in the world so hopefully it helps a bit to resolve that. It's definitely something I would address before abx if possible. Anything you can do to enhance immunity naturally or through elimination and minimize your exposure to abx is preferable. If mold is a source of immunotoxic substances that is preventing you from natural remission all the abx in the world are unlikely to help you. Once dealt with you might find you only need to knock back the infection a little to maintain health. Or you might find mold was just one factor of many that need to be addressed...

Psilociraptor - Great info - thanks! Very interesting and it makes sense for why I have the increase of insomnia and urinary issues with abx. My instinct says it is not a typical herx reaction. I could be wrong though.

Cap - Since you seem to have benefits when on abx this would seem to indicate Lyme is your issue. Update when you get the mold labs done!

I was tested for lyme western blot positive IGM p41 & p39 took doxy for 2 months then my non LLMD just stopped it. Two months after I meet my LLMD and run test I show no active bands for lyme ..so lyme negative but high positives for all 14 mold bands.. not sure if that helps in any way but I am wondering the same thing.

Is your new LLMD treating you for lyme?

Unless you have an acute case of lyme - 2 months isn't long enough to treat.

...or are you doing a mold detox first?

Not doing anything for mold and nothing for lyme I have now been diagnosed with lyme, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, mild allergy, hashimoto's thyroiditis... just want to get better now how do I find a mold doctor?

To find mold doc google "Shoemaker certified practitioners". Some will do phone consults or work with your PCP.

Well, those could be caused by the lyme and coinfections.

The chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia should get better once treated.

I don't think you can reverse the thyroid issues though.

Allergies should also improve once you effectively treat the infections.

does any one know of a lyme knowledgeable doctor in atlanta Georgia. I was bitten as a teen and carried the scar for a while I NEED TESTED FOR LYME BUT CANT GET MY PCP NOR NEURO TO TEST ME

I HAVE ALL THE SYMPTOMS OF MS PLUS I HAVE ARTHRITIS SEIZURES FIBROMYALGIA ETC BUT NO LESIONS I AM ON MEDICADE AND CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A NEW NEUROLOGIST

But, I am glad you found your way here.

You should start a new thread of your own: "Looking for LLMD in/near Atlanta, Georgia"
Then enable your email option (through My Profile) so members can send you names privately. We don't allow the Dr.'s names being posted for their privacy and protection.
(As you've already experienced there is denial about Lyme in the medical community)
