1000Daisies-Sounding like a Seal makes a lot of sense. That's exactly how Croup is described.

My kids are adults now and I wanted to verify what immediatly came to mind. I typed in Seal so and seal sounding cough filled in. The page was filled with links for Croup.

I wonder if a herx could cause the same inflammation in a kid with Lyme? Just a thought.

What about bronchitis? It's mainly viral so if he's dealing with any of these viral things, it could be. It is that time of year and coughing is often one of the first symptoms. How does he do in the cold weather? I was told recently by a Dr. that doctors are seeing many more cases of bronchitis this year and they don't know why.

Is it possible that his immune system is more functioning from the herbals and now develops a new symptom from babesia/whatever? Does that even make sense?

I suspect babesia, but he is not being treated for that yet. (We tried Woodland Essence C.S.A. last August-ish, and he reacted so terribly to it that we took a step back and started to build up with the core protocol instead.)

Any ideas on why a cough would start now?

I've seen this in my own experience with these infections - as one infection was being treated successfully, the symptoms from other infections would show up. I didn't have hardly any Babesia symptoms until I was about halfway through my Bart treatment - but boy oh boy!! Did they ever come through then! I found myself sleeping in recliners and propping myself up with pillows in bed so I could still breath when I slept suddenly.

DS had a cough when he first started treatment although it didn't sound like a seal (that is croup generally as mentioned) - we weren't sure if it was babesia or mycoplasma induced but it was one of the first symptoms to depart once he started LLMD treatment (abx mainly). Good luck! So many symptoms that come and go - it's hard to figure them all out!
