I wanted to ask the group if anyone had amazing results with metronidazole.

This is the third time I am taking it, and every time I feel 100% normal. Like the bugs are not even there. Then, about a week after I stop taking it, everything comes back with a vengeance.

The last two times, I only took it for two weeks each time. This time, I am taking it for two months.

Maybe if I take it long enough it can actually eradicate the infection?

i was terribly after 7 pills of metronidozal 500 mg.there is dangerous neurological and gut reated side effect of metronidozal.so doing for 2 months is quite risky.so do google and read people openion.some side effect of metronidozal is permaent.for mine taking about 20 day fo feel little better after metronidozal course.

I am taking it with doxy and a corticoid. I've had no side effects so far. I have one more month to go, then I will be on doxy only.

I wish I knew why some abx work for some but not for others. This is the only drug that makes me feel better. I wish I could take it forever.

Tinidazole damaged my nerves, so I don't have good experience with it. It is powerful abx, but it can damage your nerves.

They haven't healed yet. I don't know what to do, how to help them heal. I am taking B vitamins and ALA.

I was on Tini for 6 weeks -pulsing, 2 days on, 5 days off
I stopped at the end of October, when my symptoms developed. So now it is almost 3 months.
It damaged nerves in my feet and ankles. It is the nerve pain and numbness inside the tissue.

I am so afraid if it can be reversed. Because Lyme itself damaged nerves in my back before I started to treat, and they are not healed.

Girlie I will pray for us both... that our nerves heal... and we wake up one morning pain free...
If you happen to know some herb (that has no interactions with p450 abx) or supplement that can help the process, do let me know. I am currently taking B vits and ALA.
