Update

Hi Everyone!

Had my son's tel appt with his LLND on Jan 6. My son said to apologize to the Dr. but he wanted to go skating on the local lake !! Omgosh!

So he is taking Azithromycin 250 mg/day, and Artesunate 200 mg 7 days on, 7 off, working up to 400 mg (2 capsules).

I started him on Japanese knotweed and Gou teng mid December and he is up to 20 drops 2/day.

The Beyond Balance Bab 2 finished mid December after 4 -5 months.

He is feeling much, much better. Very rare headaches, brain fog much decreased, energy levels very much increased, no stomach aches, occasional joint pain, no night terrors, decreased insomnia.

Hi Huddie how are you? just to let you know there is light at the end of the tunnel, I am registering him for school today, starting Feb 1. He hasn't been to school since Nov 2015. He is behind, but he is getting healthy, so we don't care haha. I hear him singing in his room, texting friends. Went to the gym on Wednesday and scared the crap out of me when he came in the front door saying "I jogged home from the gym".

Also, he has had to cram two tests for last years math -had only two days to learn each chapter -and got 100% on each! So everyone with unbearable brain fog hang in there, because when he was ill, he couldn't read or even look at a computer screen.

I am very cautiously optimistic, I want to wrap him in bubble wrap.

I know we are nowhere near finished, in fact I just ordered jkw, gou teng and houttunyia from woodland essence.

Hi Girlie how are you? Dr. C wants him at 400 mg Artesunate but agreed I can ease up to that. Now he mentioned something strange, he said Artesunate will help with cyst busting/biofilm? I had never heard that, but I saw a contributor here pcpc, way back in 2009, who was a patient of Dr. Zhang, the Artesunate dr. Mentioned that as well?

I'm so happy for you...such good progress your son has made.

I still haven't gone past the Artesunate 200 mg - I will wait and see how your son does...
My appt. with Dr. C. is in a few weeks.

Dr. C. did mention to me that the Artesunate works on the persisters...and he also felt it would help with the bart...along with the Rifampin.

I edited - I had asked you about Rifampin...and I see in your signature line that he tried it but had to stop.

Hi Trav, I will def be vigilant. I plan on making your chonic tonic in a few months after he has finished his Artesunate (dr. Said usually 3-6 months). Plus he wasn't able to tolerate Rifampin so we still have to deal with Bartonella-hopefully houttunyia will help. I would like to see a TCM also and am interested in the classical pearls -Dr. Freuhaf-you mentioned. Because lyme and co effect everything -adrenals hormones, I would like him to have a synergistic herb combos that might support the body after being chronically ill.

We were at such a low point this time last year. He was bedridden in a dark room with chronic migraines, got shingles New Years day. We are pretty grateful right now.

I hope you don't mind if I share a story:
Since he's been well enough to go on the computer, he has really relied on this group of guys from around the world who get together online and video game. They know he's sick. I let him do it because it was a connection to other people and he said it distracted him from pain/anxiety/depression. Well, the last couple of weeks, as he's started feeling better, he's been able to connect with old school friends and they've gone out to movies , gym, mall. Teen things.
I had to laugh because I heard his online friends say "don't go-don't go out to the real world-stay with us". They were laughing and so supportive. There has just been soo many wonderful people who have helped us, and everyone has their own problems. I literally cry every day with gratitude.

Really really wonderful news. I'm so happy for you and your son.
