Benicar no light no vit d ..idk sounds like a old school way to regulate immune sx ..venom does too but i like the sun when not on abx ...

The Marshall Protocol has been mentioned on here a few times since I've been a member.

It is very difficult to maintain - you have to completely cover up including wearing dark glasses whenever you're outside in sunny weather. Vitamin d must be kept low. And this is not just for a few months but can be several years.

There is a Dr. not too far from where I live who treats this way. I read a few comments from patients who had tried it and they said it was difficult to maintain that.

I haven't read many testimonies of people in remission.

Heard someone talk about this at a "lyme" meeting years ago now that I recall.

Well I'm not doing that for autoimmune with my "must be outside" addiction.

Yes, The Marshall protocol would be good for someone that had high levels of Vitamin D, but not low levels, since avoiding ALL vitamin D sources is required on this protocol. And, as Girlie said, there aren't many that reach remission on it. I'm not exactly sure why, as it does work for a very small percentage of people with high Vitamin D.

I think that a person would need a Doctors guidance, How to know what is the adequate dose of abx - it is written low dose?
And how long should one follow this protocol?

Blueberry - it's not one to be done without a Dr....for sure especially because it involves the medication (benicar)

I used to know the amount of minocycline that is prescribed...but can't remember.
I actually talked to the clinic near me that does this protocol before my diagnosis...when I knew something was wrong with me ...but didn't know what.

I remember reading about someone who had been on it for 3 years.

I am glad I never made an appt. and tried it.
