I was really concerned about
biofilms when I healed from lyme and in remission. I kept wondering if biofilms had formed and were going to break
open and spew bacteria to flourish somewhere in my body and start lyme up all over again.
I read and read and read and read and my conclusion is that we form biofilms in our body on a pretty regular basis. Bacteria are in us, just a fact. Our gut is a great example of good and bad bacteria. If it gets out of balance, we have "problems." But we have a super hero that can take care of this if it is operating properly.
Yeah immune system! Now here is the catch-22. You want to kill biofilm formation, kill bacteria and strengthen the immune system. I still cannot find an antibiotic that will strengthen the immune system. So you take an antibiotic to kill the bacteria. It kills all bacteria, even the good guys that will help strengthen the immune system. And because you are taking an antibiotic, the borrellia bacteria wants to survive and morphs into a biofilm.
NAC is what I used. Anyone with sinusitis probably should use it. Anyone with reoccurring bronchitis. And any other lung problems should use it.
I think I would look for the following to help if I suspected biofilms. If you have taken antibiotics for any length of time, you should highly suspect biofilms. Morphing into biofilm is the bacteria's super shield against the bacteria dying.
www.bayarealyme.org/blog/straight-talk-biofilms-new-answer-treating-lyme-disease/I haven't followed up on this Agilyte. But if you are taking antibiotics, these scientists at the Bay Area Lyme Foundation are really showing it to be promising when used with antibiotics. I would ask my doctor about
it if I were treating with antibiotics.
