Hi,
Does anyone here know anything about the effect rhinoplasty grafts can have on Lyme's disease? I just thought about this yesterday because I was thinking about the effects of root canals and how the bacteria can form where its not filled and get infected where antibiotics wont' work because there is no blood flow where the infection is. I also read things about people with breast implants who have lymes and as soon as they are removed, they feel better. Now the implants may be from the chemicals in the plastic but I'm not exactly sure.
Anyway, in 2011 I had surgery on my nose where cartilage from my septum was used as a spreader graft, used to open airway on right side, and an onlay graft, used on roof of nose for scooped out noses....also he put more crushed cartilage in my tip...I did not need any of these grafts and didn't know he was going to do this..but anyway.. after my surgery is when I realized something was wrong with me.. and it began my trips to many doctors to figure out what was wrong...I was wondering if these grafts even though they are cartilage from my own body, are preventing me from healing in some way? If so this is very complicated. I would have to get them removed and i'm not even sure if I can remove all of them, especially the ones in the tip since it is crushed cartilage and it would need replaced with something.....
Does anyone know anything about this...does it make sense that the grafts in my nose could be causing issues??? I don't believe they are connected to blood flow...yet I don't THINK they are infected??? I don't know...who would I see about this?
