Funny Thought - How Many Of Those In The Panick/Anxiety Thread Have Lyme?

Just about 15-17 topics above the Lyme Disease is the anxiety/panick thread.

I went in to read and immediately came across a post about a doctor diagnosing one of them with LYme Disease lol....FIGURES RIGHT!

Perhaps many are posting in the wrong THREAD!

We try to stick to our own group. In the past others, including myself, have made references to Lyme, or BB and like the general public, the reaction is not conducive to further discussion, lol.

Everyone is welcome to read what we have in here too, and if they find things that ring true to them, they will come around and ask.

I still haven't figured out the stigma of Lyme disease, it's weird. Many times I've equated it to them thinking we're trying to change their religion.


ETA, also moderators of the other groups just don't really appreciate it.

But yes, there are several diseases and disorders on this site that could very well be Lyme for some of them.

Very much so, Huddie - we just now understand that illness can also bring it on.

I never encourage Lyme forum members to post in other forums on here. There have been a few that have been banned because they got a little too "aggressive" in the other forums - and has been said (by Julymorning, maybe?) above, the other mods are not too keen of Lyme forum members posting in their forums.

Those that honestly believe they have MS, Fibro or whatever, rarely like their diagnosis "challenged", they "like" that they have their diagnoses and are "comfortable" with them. While we can present information to them and see if it will be accepted, often times we will be 'greeted' with some harsh resistance.

It comes back to the saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you will drown him trying to force him to drink.

This Lyme forum accepts anyone that may be questioning their previous diagnosis, I hope without anyone getting too pushy. If we are here to actually help others, we surely don't want to get so aggressive as to "turn them off to the idea".

Well, let someone come on this board and say that we don't have Lyme, but have Fibro/MS/Whatever and watch what happens!! LOL!

Most of us here either have testing to show what we have, or have fought hard to get our diagnosis and have treatment successes to point to, and we have a tendency to stand up for those that don't have those things yet on their side.

Well, as one that has had many, many misdiagnoses - I don't have any problem showing how I know that I have Lyme disease - after all, how many patients with true MS will heal with Lyme treatments? Or Fibro treatments.

Maybe it's because I look at the world differently, but obtaining complete healing (very quickly, I might add) after using only herbal treatments for Lyme, Bart and Babesia, it's not a hard diagnosis to "defend" for me. Some will even tell me that it was all 'placebo' effects (LOL!). Right!! And the moon is made of green cheese and the earth is flat too.
