Hi just having really bad pulsing in my head sides major pressure in head I know I mentioned it before but I mean on a scale 1 to 10 it's 10 I'm not sleeping even taking sleeping tablets the pulsing just keeps waking up 6.00am in the morning I'm not getting sleep which mean my immune system won't be working good to kill Lyme I'm looking up tinnitus pulsing which is that scared the crap out of me there doesn't seem be a cure I could have it for life... I'm just wonder has anyone stopped there pulsing tinnitus or is it even that or is it neuralgia I'm just so confused I no people aren't doctors on this site just I'm stress I'm not sleeping have so stressed I'm also experiencing burning down bottom of my spine like I'm 9 months into treatment all this just started last week.... any herbal options I can take depressed at this stage...

Oh gosh, I am so sorry you got to 10 level. I had head pain (headache the doctor called it) that was over the top and I just cried.

about tinnitus, my husband's first symptom. We all have our first painful symptom. His was full time and he too was very scared. He cruised the internet before he came to me.

Anyway, with treatment he is now experiencing days of NO tinnitus.... just to give you hope.

Actually, the tinnitus will likely go away, as you heal. Tinnitus can very much be a part of Neurological Lyme disease - no nerves are safe from it.

For head pressure, Buhner suggests Kudzu root, and I've been using it for my head pressure and it's working. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty miserable with head pressure if I accidentally miss my dose!

It sounds like you are herxing, since you are well into treatments. You may have hit the right combination of items for treatment to really hit your infections. Have you raised a dose or added something within the last few weeks? If so, this may be what you need to lower the dose of just a bit to get the herxing under control - otherwise, it's a sign that you need to increase the amount of detoxing you are doing.

Have you had any genetic testing done to see if you have the gene mutations that make it harder for our bodies to detox? It's usually referred to as MTHFR testing. Knowing what genes are mutated can help identify what to take to help make those "connections" again so that the body has an easier time of detoxing.

Thank you just I can't even leave the house it's that bad basically I go do sauna every few days can't even go and do it cause of it only thing I use too look forward to also I'm wait on my thyroid test to come back could it be from that what is happen to me .. mthfr could my gp do that test or do I see specialist?? PETA Zak just I'm in treatment and this has started to happen didn't happen wen I wasn't on treatment... also I have dextox bath every second day only had dextox bath last night... I came off all meds and herbs for 3 days and still is happen just I only added new stuff 2 days go cats claw

N-acetyl cysteine wild oregano oil lion man mushroom coq10 artemisia there few new supplements I'm taking only started one day ago but pulsing was just as bad before I started these

Maybe it's time to take a look at your detoxing routines then? Are you doing anything besides the sauna? There are many things you can do at home to help your body detox.

I'm taking dextox baths Epsom salts that all what I'm doing 3 days a week.

It looks to me like you added quit a bit of NEW things all at once. That can be stressful to our bodies. Even adding in supplements, I was gentle and added in one at a time and gave it a couple of days before I added in something new.

Also, you are not detoxing enough, in my opinion. You may have a lot of toxins trying to get out of your body all at once with no clear path for them.

Ye basically ive being doing fine with just detoxing once a week just this pulsing came out of now we're plus this symptoms I'm get started before I added any of this items could it be my thyroids doing this maybe

As I said in my first post, Kudzu root has been a big help to me with my head pressure, and that's one of the things that Buhner recommends it for.

Tinnitus is another story. Sometimes something like Benadryl will calm the CNS enough to ease tinnitus, or for long term therapy, lion's mane is known to help when it's because of demyelination of the nerves. I'm using both, actually and my nerves aren't nearly as messed up as before I started using the lion's mane and kudzu root.

But I can tell you that detoxing just once a week isnt' enough for most everyone with these infections.

Liamb - I have the pulsatile tinnitus.

Before diagnosis (and treatment) - when I stood up from sitting, my head would pound. I thought it was my blood pressure...but no, that was fine.
When I laid down, and my ear was on the pillow, it would pulse in my ears with my heartbeat.

Then it turned into a swooshing sound - some months after.

I can say it is a minor symptom now. My head does not pound when I stand up.
...and when I lay down at night...it's either not there (the swooshing)...or it's minor.

For some reason I wake up in the early morning hours...with some anxiety...the pulsing is there...but is gone or just barely there a few hours later when I wake up for the day.

Treatment is what has helped me. I did do minocycline for quite a while ...and it did improve with that...was it coincidence? or is it because it penetrated the b/b barrier well.

I also had the sensation of pressure in my head behind my eyes...and that is way better...it's mild and not every day. That improved with the minocycline.

I also started taking kudzu and Greater Celandine (got those from Buhner's bart book)

That is what I was referring to. Even adding a lot of supplements can throw off your body and make it herx. That is all I was talking about.

Ye what I'm trying to say is girlie I'm nine months into my treatment and this symptoms came on it didn't happen wen I started treatment or before that just what confusion me ye I'm not really suffering with anxiety just feeling is bit unbearable and times .. minocycline is that herb is it ye I'm looking into a good site we're I can get them herbs...

No, minocycline is an antibiotic.


Are you taking Japanese knotweed? I have read that penetrates the blood barrier well..and it has anti-inflammatory properties (amongst many other properties)

Resveratrol is in Japanese Knotweed. (a constituent)

But Resveratrol from other sources - such as red wine grapes..isn't what buhner recommends.

Hi Liamb,
I noticed you said that you are taking many new things.
When I started herbals , I only added one at a time in a small dose to see how it affected me. That way I know what ones I can tolerate or cant tolerate. or ones I have to go slower with.

I think you also said you have new symptoms you didn't have before you started the treatment.

That happened to me too. I had different ones I never experienced before. However with regular detoxing such as epsom baths, drinking lemon water and taking milk thistle I haven't been herxing as bad. The symptoms are now very low level. I also had thumping in ears/head and heartbeat in left ear. That did diminish.
I know that when your are suffering like this it is easy to let panic and negative thoughts in. We are only human, and it is scary and we can feel desperate and alone...but

Please try to relax your mind and body with deep soothing breathes. Try to stop the negative thoughts of what might be in the future and replace them with I am strong and I will be healthy. When your trying to relax, Imagine a white light starting at the top of your head and flowing gently down and throughout your entire body and as it gets to your feet imagine it pushing all the bad things out of your body.
I know it sounds a bit different, but our mind and thoughts can have powerful effects on our bodies.
I'm just trying to offer some relief for your suffering. I pray you get some rest soon and more healing. Sincerely, Jo

Goshawk I really needed that I'm such in a negative cycle at the min you get the mind right at the body will follow as they say... it's like your reading my mind all I think is about the future will I get my life back college vaccinations just to leave the house again... ye I'm going to try get back into meditation just pulsing thriving sensation stop me from doing it...
