Igenex results in. help reading them

Ok I got my Igenex test results back. Can everyone help me interpret them please. thanks!

I also was tested for the co-infections, and the only thing that stands out to me is babesiosis, all were negative except it looks like B. duncani IFA- IgG; my results were 160 and its says negative is <40.

Well Cindy. That looks positive to me. Others will be along with further details, but you have more than enough here to warrant treatment.

And remember the ultimate determination is based on symptoms.
There are way too many false negatives when testing for these infections.

Thank you. I have had symptoms for around 11 years and they have recently gotten worse. I feel like they arnt as bad as people on this forum, and after seeing the results I feel kind of discouraged because I feel like they arnt really the answer I was looking for. I just saw my first LLMD not too long ago, and am going to follow up this Friday with these results, but I am unsure of her response. She is an ILADS LLMD, but I am just unsure how she will respond.

Band 39 is lyme specific...and and I (indeterminate) means something showed - not strong enough to be a positive...so I call it a 'weak' positive.
Additionally, looks like you are positive for Babesia which is a co-infection.

Your LLMD should be diagnosing you clinically...and using these results for a back-up to that diagnosis. This is enough of a reaction for a solid diagnosis.

I completely agree with everything everyone has posted so far. If your LLMD doesn't start treatment, I would go find another one because those test results should be treated as a positive. All you need is one Lyme specific band to show that you definitely have Lyme, and you also have a positive Babesia test. It's really straight forward that you need treatments.

Positive Babesia IFA... you don't see that every day. Congrats (sort of :p)

To answer your question, I'd be very surprised if your doctor didn't start you on atovaquone (Malarone or Mepron) plus one of zithromax, biaxin, or bactrim/septra. There's a case to be made to add Alinia too.

On top of that I'd start some over-the-counter herbals like artemisinin or artesunate, as well as something like a Beyond Balance MC-BAB-2. Could add cryptolepis too.

I'd try to hit Babesia for 6 months before doing Lyme, as Lyme-antibiotics on top of all this would be a lot. You could start a Lyme herbal protocol, like Buhner, if you felt like it.

Edit: Girlie right below me makes a great point. If your doc feels like Lyme is causing the majority of the symptoms, you could make a case to do that first.

The one thing you should be doing is detoxing...multiple methods daily.

If you're not already doing so...then start off with one or two...and every few days add in another one..gradually build until you're doing several every day.

Here are the treatment guidelines from ILADS. Although they are from 2014, they are the ones we go by for the most part. Most doctors that know what they are doing will stick "loosely" to these guidelines. You can always come here and ask about dosages and specific abx that you are supposed to be taking though. We have lots of members using abx and can help guide you as you go through this.
