Yes, many people with the neuropathy have had it resolve with lyme/co's treatment.

Every day around 3:30-4pm my legs begin too burn in the bilateral thigh regions. This even occurs if I have been sitting and working for most of the day with little activity. Is this something that can be attributed to Lyme and Co? If so, should this start to dissipate as my treatment progresses?

My left shin pain starts to roar around 6-7pm. They have me on Gabapentin and I hate it. I feel like I am putting poison in my body every time I take one of those. Hopefully this treatment works and I can slowly taper off the Gabapentin.

Are you or have you been on Gabapentin? As the very well educated (probably one of the best doctors I have seen) medical marijuana doctor told me it was one of her most hated drugs. She said it simply masked symptoms and was prescribed rather than try to find the root cause of the patient's issues.

Sorry - I forgot I also recently started using Progesterone cream.

If my issues are truly from Lyme, which after all the tests and doctors I have seen I have a strong feeling it is, if I would not have gone about this on my own I don't think I would have ever gotten to the point of taking the DNA Connexion tests. The neurologists I have seen all just said good luck and only offered to up my Gabapentin! The infectious disease doctors were even worse. All they did was order expensive blood tests and say my issues were not infectious so we can't help you. Crazy.

I had the exact same experience - try the gabapentin and if you want come back in 6 months. No insight on what was going wrong. They really could care less. My first night on the gabapentin I had restless leg for the first time in my life. Never took it again but unfortunately still get the restless leg.

in the movie idiocracy they got paid every time they said carls jr ..i think this is the case with docs and meds ...gaba etc ...one derm i went to said humira like 20x even though i said not interested in iimmunosuppressive. .he didnt do one singe test ...id doc said lyme was a false positive so he wouldnt have to treat...nuero said somatic and nerve damage wasnt bad enough come back later when it is ..no thanks ...iv magnesium ,high dose biotin ,rocephin and bvt has stoped the tremors and burning in my hands

No, Bartonella does not need Malaria drugs to be treated, that's Babesia.

But, Bartonella can sure be a hard infection to treat for some. For others, it's a different infection that holds them back.

But, if you have 90% of the Bart symptoms, and your doctor did not recognize it, you will either have to come to grips that you will be the one directing your treatments (if you want to heal "quickly") or you should find another LLMD. That's a LOT of Bart symptoms and for a doctor to not recognize that many Bart symptoms says they don't know much. Sorry.

Oh good. I'm glad it wasn't your LLMD trying to tell you that. Malaria and Babesia have a lot in common, but Bartonella is a completely different type of bacteria.

Good to hear that you are doing okay with your treatments!! I hope the leg pains calm down soon though - those are not nice!
