Rifabutin and Lyme arthritis

I've noticed when my protocol does not include rifabutin my SC joint arthritis is horrific and when I'm on rifiabutin my pain is not nearly as bad. As anyone else had this experience? Maybe with a different antibiotic but similar result?

rifabutin is a strong abx for lyme and bartonella infections particularly lyme persister cells so not surprising you are seeing relief from it. rifamycin (which rifampin and rifabutin both belong to) is its own class of antibiotics and has its own unique mechanism for dealing with bacteria.

everyone has abx that work better than others. for example the macrolide class (zithormax, biaxin) do very little for me but bactrim, minocycline and rifamycin class do much better so regardless of what other people's experiences are its what works (or doesn't work) for you is all that matters.
