Does anyone know if it is possible to detox lyme bacteria in the brain too quickly that the die-off accumulates in the sinuses & appears to be a sinus infection or cold?

I am sure I don't have a cold but I do have congestion in my sinuses after slowly increasing my doseage of Cat's Claw, which targets bacteria in the brain.

As a result I have backed the Cat's Claw way down. I'm wondering if I should have or not. I am flying this Sunday & don't want to have to deal with sinus pain & blocked eustachian tubes.

I have no idea about fast detoxing and sinus problems.

I do know a lot about flying. My parents had a plane and we flew a lot. We flew a lot over the Sierra Nevada Mountains and gum was the remedy for us teens and adults.

When my daughter was a baby, I scheduled her meal so when were flying she drank her bottle. The swallowing kept her ears clear.

Sinus problems have been related to yeast/fungus problems. See the 1st thread, New to Lyme, page 2, the last post. Pirouette has a great post regarding this.

I have had really good results from doing Lymph node massage of head and neck. Here's a tutorial video. You don't have to do it in as many reps as she suggests.

I think that sinus drainage can go along with detox. I don't know if it's common for Lyme specifically, but in another group I belong to, people often mention increased sinus drainage after they do a liver cleanse.

Mucus is formed to capture the 'crud', whether it's pollen from the outside or foreign organisms(living or dead) on the inside.

Try the massage, and drink plenty of water. I have found that Braggs ACV helps move it along, and lemon water is always good. Take (sugarless) chewing gum with you on the flight too.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I will look into each one. I did try the self-massage for lymph glands for sinuses. That may have helped a bit.

Also doing a steam tent with Olbas Oil. Diffusing RC (Young's Living Oil), rubbing Melrose behind my ears & using an herbal rub under my nose & on sinuses. I need drainage now!!

I see you use kudzu, julymorning. I just bought some & didn't remember why. Looks like I'll try that as well.
