Anyone have a sugar intolerance?

I keep my head pressure to a managble degree through eating healthy and using malarone and artimisinen. Whenever I have sugar my head feels like it's going to pop. The pressure is always bilateral and never in one spot. This doesn't happen with natural sugars in fruits or other healthy foods. It happens in non healthy foods or any sugar, like when added to coffee. I used to be a candyholic and now even one altoid causes head pressure for 2 hours.

I can eat small amounts of agave and it doesn't cause an issue.

Do you have yeast or fungal issues? That's what comes to mind first.

I can't use "table sugar" - the white sugar that most of us grew up with as it sets off intestinal cramping for me, so I've been sugar free for nearly 20 years now. I use honey, fruit, stevia, xylitol or nothing at all.

I don't think so. I take diflucan 2 days of the month. Dr J thinks it feeds the babesia.

Well, that's interesting! I had never read/heard anything about sugar 'feeding' Babesia. **But, I'm not saying that it can't happen.

I take Diflucan twice a day. It was essential to getting a handle on my mold / yeast issue. It has been of primary importance to getting better and now to keep from backsliding.

Adding refined sugar or even bread to my diet is like throwing days of progress on this drug down the drain.

I read somewhere that without change of diet that I might need to stay on it for life. I couldnt imagine.

I am trying to guess how much longer I will need this as I go to place my order. I am guessing another 6 months.

After reading the burbur-pinella drops could help the headaches I've had less of those killers although I suspect that a recent falling off that sugar wagon created a headache even that didn't help.

Im pretty sure the sugar also caused my first yeast infection 😩

I take nystatin twice a day and had hoped that would have been my save but nah

refined sugar and especially high fructose corn syrup set off my joints big time! I cut out high fructose corn syrup several years ago but every once in a while a little slips in and boy do I know it...

I normally have a reaction to sugary and starchy foods, sometimes feel achy for a couple of days. During this my first pulse of the abx Minocycline and Metronidazole I have had a voracious sugar craving, just very hungry. I think it's yeast overgrowth from the abx that I will probably zap with Bactrim after the pulse. But normally any sugary soda, breads can worsen my symptoms. I add Stevia to coffee and it's not as bad as table sugar.

Sugar is no longer my friend 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. I haven't tried 86% or greater dark chocolate lately though. Hmmmm....may do that over the weekend.

I'm thinking yeast overgrowth might possibly be lurking inside you...?

I've never bought sugar in my life- good thing too since candida thinks Im a good host. So I have no idea what / how it would have affected me in the past or now.

But I swear all that sucrose they put in crap is addictive, cant have it on whole30 paleo, but I want it to some extent. There were boxes of tasty donuts at work all week in the lunch room, it was hard to walk by them, but I did! Doughnuts were a candida smorgasbord now that I remember.
