So the andrographis as a tincture works....almost too well

So recently I ordered andrographis as a tincture online. I have been taking the capsules and noticed that taking the capsules put me into a herx. As tinctures are easier to take for me (I just add them into my "herbal cocktail") I thought this would be a great way to make sure I always take my andrographis. My good times have been getting longer and my herx times have been getting shorter and less abrupt. I was having a period of good days and then the andrographis came in the mail. I added it to my cocktail and boom, big time herx. Can barey get out of bed to eat and my appetite is once again gone. Feeling almost as bad as I did way back in the fall when I started my treatment! I guess I need to ease into the andrographis a bit slower....like one drop at a time!

Thought this was interesting though... that stuff seems to really work....or just makes me sick in the exact same way as a herx feels. Time for some alka seltzer gold and epsom salt baths!

Andrographis is specifically for killing the Lyme bacteria, so it's most likely a herx. I'm sure glad you chose to lower your dose! From what I understand, the herxing can get pretty serious on andrographis.

My allergic reaction was hives. Very much an allergic response. I have no idea what it was from to this day. I don't think it was one of my herbs. I could not pinpoint it to any different food. All I came up with was something in combo (herb and food) did not go well.
