western blot and band lab results please help interpret

Hello all! I was diagnosed with Lyme back in 2015 and after receiving antibiotics treatment for over a year the results are the same and as follows:

Lyme IGm WB Positive
Lyme IGg WB Negative

IgG and IgM P41ab Positive

IgM P23ab Positive


I was on antibiotic treatment from september of 2015 to december of 2016 with a couple breaks, (perhaps 2-3 months long each)I was having symptoms such as extreme fatigue, fasciculations, eye twitching almost daily for months, hair loss, forgetfulness, mind fog, odd head sensation etc... my symptoms improved within time but haven't completely gone away. Wouldn't my lab results change after receiving treatment?I'm confused as far as how to interpret these results.. I thought that a negative IgG WB with positive bands could indicate a false positive?

First of all, we never get rid of all of the bacteria and it's up to the immune system to keep it under control, so you will/should get a response to Lyme testing because your immune system is keeping it under control.

If you have had treatment, and still have symptoms - you have not had effective or adequate treatment. It's really that plain. Can you imagine if someone went to the doctor with pneumonia and had symptoms still after treatment - and the person was told, sorry -you're all done with treatments? At least with Lyme and company, it's a 'slow' moving infection.

And Julymorning and Girlie said - the positive results are not false - you will still produce the antibodies to the bacteria. The concern is that you never got rid of your symptoms completely, so you are still in need of treatment.
