Bloat from abx any fixes?

So my wife started her new protocol yesterday she's going Omnicef, Bactrim and Zithro. she's getting stomach bloat, some cramping and intestinal discomfort. Note she didn't get this when on Doxy and Ceftin previously. She also did Ceftin and Zithro no problems so I'm thinking it may be the Bactrim or doing 3 abx (versus 2).

Any remedies for controlling this? Thanks.

This is typically a yeast overgrowth/candida issue Rikky. That was my immediate thought. I know you're familiar with that routine.

Ya never know when this will crop up, even when there weren't issues before. But tripling the abx would do it.

Is it safe to assume that she's taking probiotics? It may only need to be a change in brands, or adding in another probiotic - or it could be that it's a die off reaction as long as it's not going on too long.

When I take zithromax and mepron together, I get horribly and uncomfortably bloated. Now I just take them an hour apart, and I have no bloating at all. My first suggestion would be to time them apart and see what happens.

thanks everyone. this is after the first day of taking the abx regimen after being off them for 6 weeks so i would doubt this is candida so quickly.

she's taking 30 billion probiotics + sacro broulardi 2x/day so covered there.

she's not taking mepron only the 3 abx.

i'm thinking let her go through this week and see if it dies down. sometimes that happens when initially taking the flamethrower out ;)

I was going to tell you I thought it was a yeast issue also. I added a third abx and this is happening to me now. It took a week for it, but now I have yeast issues going on down there and bladder/gut pain and bloating.
