This is a really dumb question but if Lyme and cos hide from antibiotics why don't we just pass go and go directly to cyst busters?

Another reason is the usual abx that are given to bust cyst forms, do not kill the newly released borrelia. They really get much lower efficiency ratings for killing, and thus leads into what PeteZa said, cyst busters come down a ways on the protocol list, but the none cyst busting abx are still needed right with them.
What would be helpful, if it hasn't been developed already, is something to go with the borrelia killer in the first place that prevents it from forming cysts.
I was into reading the connection between biofilm formation and cyst formations, because I understand that the organisms are able to send out signals to each other. I got sidetracked and now have forgotten some of what little I did learn. Must get back to it soon.
