Just bought a 1 liter carton. 100% coconut water and pineapple juice.
Product of Thailand.
Says consume with in TWO days after
opening even while refrigerated. ... what the? TWO days? What makes this go bad so quick?
If no real long term health effects, dont think I'll get this much again if it goes bad that fast.

Good for electrolytes - if nothing else.
Dr.Axe says it has benefits:

Just another source that says pretty much the same thing as Dr. Axe.

I didn't know it only had a 2 day shelf-life in the fridge though...
I haven't been buying it lately...but when I did...it was in my fridge for about
5 days...yikes!

Apparently not, sadly, because it sure would
open up some nice alternatives.

So… before I got dx w/ Lyme & Co and everything else under the sun, I was trying all kindsa stuff to "help heal me" and coconut water is something I looked into and tried.
From everything I read, the only real benefits coconut water provides is from YOUNG organic coconuts. I used to buy a great product (also from Thailand) —so expensive but would arrive frozen, and was good for 3 mos. unless thawed, and then had a couple days shelf life in the fridge - so that is a good indication that you have a good product.
Unfortunately, most of the products in the store are "fake" or advertise the same benefits but it's false.
And no, it doesn't really have the same antimicrobial properties as oil or other bennies of the meat. But it is supposed to be healthy, including full of electrolytes. The only reason I stopped buying it was $.
