LLMD in Zionsville, Indiana Experience?

Last week was crazy and I was out of work for the entire week. As some of you know I started ParaSmart and about a week later I started having really bad chest pains and heart palpitations. Not sure if this is related to the parasmart but it all lines up.

After two visits to the ER the doctors seemed to chuckle at my Lyme Disease diagnosis I had told them about and referred me to a cardiologist because my EKG showed extra beats.

The cardiologist said she was very concerned about my heart rhythm and is having me do an echocardiogram and stress test to look at my heart to see what is going on. I told her about Lyme and once again, she just kind of blew it off.

So then I called my LLMD and asked if I could get my appointment moved up ASAP (originally scheduled for the end of may) they worked out some things and got me in this Wednesday!

Since doing doxy for about a month, my stomach has been really achy and I feel nauseous and also am having some weird chest pains and still irregular heart beats. I am taking a really strong probitic (100 billion) but it doesnt seem to be helping.. Also extremelyyyy fatigued. Could barely get out of bed for the past few days but managed to come into work today.

Has anyone ever been to the LLDM in Zionsville, Indiana?

Are there any specific things I should discuss with her besides my symptoms and past health records?

Red Flags might be if they rely on test results to treat the co-infections.

...or if they don't treat with two or more antibiotics. Mono therapy isn't recommended.

Lyme can cause all those heart symptoms...yes. And, yes they are usually reversible with treatment.

I suggest you consider taking Hawthorne and CoQ10 - very good supplements for the cardiovascular system.

CoQ10 can't be taken if you're on Mepron.

Hawthorne is a separate supplement...it's not a brand of CoQ10

So you already are taking CoQ10 - that is good...and magnesium is also good.

I think discuss with your LLMD about co-infection testing. Some don't bother with it...others do and hope that they get some indications.

The positive WB IgM is a good start...

Some co-infections need different treatments. Ehrlichia , anaplasmosis are usually taken care of when Lyme is treated.
But bartonella and Babesia (the other 2 B's) do need different treatment.

Your LLMD may send you for more testing...some like to test for viruses as well.

You should be getting regular testing for liver and kidney function, and CBC. This is often done monthly.

Are you taking a liver support supplement?

Cakegirl - just asked about a list of questions...and it reminded me of the list in the "New to Lyme..." thread.

You can look through the list and write down ones that you want to ask your LLMD.

Awesome thank you! And I am not currently taking a liver supplement, but I do have one from my ND. It is a detox supplement and has artichoke extract, milk thistle extract and dandelion root extract. Is this something I should be taking? Do you recommend a different one?

I remember herxing while taking this the first time.

My LLND told me to take Pekana Apo-Hepat.

I was just taking Milk Thistle extract - that I would buy at my local health food store.

When my liver enzymes started to climb...he sent me the Apo-Hepat and told me to switch.

My liver enzymes did come down...but I had also halted treatment for 2 1/2 months.

They have not climbed since but I think it has to do with knocking back the infections more than the Apo-Hepat.
