Took quest test ( don't know why) but band 41 was positive or reactive. Does this mean anything?

Hi tcoach1 -

Is that the only band that was reactive? 41 can be indicative of other "spirochete" microbes (one commonly found in dental bacteria). So, 41, alone, is not completely definitive for Lyme. But having only 41 band antibodies show up does not mean you don't have Lyme. Qwest just isn't going to give reliable results.

What brought you to test? What are your symptoms? Are you seeing a LLMD?

As Pirouette said, band 41 indicates a one of a number of bacteria - spirochetes. Band 41 is produced because of the 'tail' that these types of bacteria have, but it's not definitive for Lyme disease.
