The hits just keep on coming. I never thought I'd post so many times in this forum, considering I was asymptomatic when I began treatment for my bite. But anyway.

My stomach started feeling off yesterday, and today it's really roiling. I've been on Doxy for nearly a month with no digestive problems until now. I'm taking it with food as well. But I'm starting to think that soon enough I'll be "taking it" in reverse, if you know what I mean.

But perhaps it is not the Doxy? Maybe it's just the latest herxing episode. God, I really dislike uncertainty. From the beginning, making sense of my symptoms feels like playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

Ginger root helped me. Doxy is tough on the gut, but it could also be from die-off or candida.

I recalled vomiting 1/2 hour or so after morning meds and a few time had to pull over during commute to work. Eventually I changed from taking my ABX, supps, and herbal all at once upon awakening to taking just my tinctures first, then ABX and supps an hour later after getting to work.

Try to keep a daily symptom log to track any patterns or improvements

Doxy hit me really hard. I ended up taking only half the dose on an empty stomach. Not saying that's what you should do, but that was the only way I could get through it.

Definitely get yourself some ginger tea! At one point, the nausea was so bad, I was drinking it 2-3 times a day.

I had a lot of nausea from the infections, so it didn't matter what protocol I was using. But, it was the ginger to the rescue for me as well. I started out making fresh ginger tea 3 or 4 times a day, then transitioned to just eating the dehydrated ginger to control the nausea - but it worked! I now take ginger caps daily, and use the dehydrated ginger when I'm traveling or just need the extra.

My nausea just started out of the blue one day, before I started Doxy, and I've never been nauseous before, not even when I was pregnant. But even at the low dose that I'm on, Doxy seems to give me the feeling of diarrhea. But I would have my peppermint tea first thing in the morning and sometimes even just smelling the peppermint essential oil would help. I would use ginger tea through the day as well.

It can be the doxy. I'm on herbs and I've been nauseous all day. Just tossed my sweet potato dinner. I can deal with alot but nausea and vomiting are the pits!😲

Antibiotics had me nauseous and puking and so I quit. I didn't want to hang with it... I'm a wienie when it comes to puking.

I went to herbs.

Added: It wasn't bad enough that I was puking but then I got the dry heaves and good golly the next morning my ribs felt as if I had been in a boxing match -- not that I have been in one of those.... I just imagined Rocky. I hurt so badly I could not laugh.
