Nystatin herx

To weak to type more. I'm assuming this is a herx. I can't move.

Drinking water and broth, too weak for bath.

Have you been taking binders? If not, you might want to try adding one in to your detox.

I've been there - SO sorry but you are probably making progress.

Wanted to echo the binders… try to get as much of the die off out of your body as you can.

Lay off the Nystatin until you feel better. Then restart with smaller doses. But you probably figured all that.

Yes - I'd continue detoxing but stop Nystatin for a day or two and see if you can recover enough to dip your toe back in… maybe at a lower dose?

what is the base of the liquid? is there anything else in it besides the base and nystatin?

You are taking a pretty diluted version of Nystatin already.

Also, everything I've read suggests that Nystatin powder needs to be mixed in water and taken immediately, not mixed and stored so I think this dilutes it even more. So that's why I asked in case there was something else that was triggering your herx (like a filler). Maybe this isn't an issue if nothing else is in it but I still don't understand why they sell it in water.

Regardless, you still seem to be reacting to it - even at low dose (just double-check that nothing else is in it).

Here's what I know about dosing:

the regular powder is generally in million units or "i.u."

1/16 teaspoon = 1,000,000 units
So I take about 1/2 teaspoon in one dose per day, which is 8,000,000 units

For comparison, the liquid suspension:
5ml = 1 teaspoon = about 100,000 units

Now, I've worked up to that dose but I started out at 1/16 teaspoon or 1,000,000 units.

I've read about people who herx significantly, even at low doses, but they eventually get up to optimal doses. And these are the people who need it the most. And then there are people who are allergic or hyper-sensitive to it for some reason.

Ok now I'm really confused. If my Nystatin liquid sugar in it, which I didn't realize it doesn't or does, what is the purpose, as blue pointed out. Does all Nystatin liquid have sugar.

I have a call into doctor but won't hear back until Monday. Should I hold it?

I'm at the end of my rope here. I feel like I'm preparing for a colonoscopy 🤐

Purr - did you get your stool/bacteria test back yet? Do you have c-diff or other bacteria that you are dealing with?

I'm concerned about the bigger picture because you have serious GI issues....

My gut showed calprotectin (possible ibs), and fecal secretory IgA inflammation. (Possible leaky gut).

Also showing pancreatic elastase 1 insufficiency. (Inability to digest fats, proteins and starches)

Also, High yeast/fungi

Slightly high PP bacteria

Slightly low beneficial bacteria

Slightly low n-butyrate

I have a bacterial infection with a high load of escherichia coli and low bifidobacterium app. Additiinally, my number for kiebsiella pneumonia was high.

Tested negative for parasites cryptosporidium, giardia lamblia, entameoba histolytica.
