Magnesium Gummies Recipe

Came across gummie recipes - great source of collagen and easy snacks. I have a ton of recipes for watermelon, pina colada, strawberries and cream and peaches and cream. I have listed 2 of my favorites. Magnesium gummies (get your mag and your collagen) and sleepy time gummies.

Magnesium Gummies
Makes approximately 1 1/2 cups of homemade fruit snacks.
Ingredients
• 1/2 cup water
• 2 tablespoon raw honey
• 2 tablespoons of Natural Calm (I used raspberry lemon flavor)
• 1/2 cup water, hot
• 3 tablespoons of beef gelatin
Directions
1. In a small bowl mix beef gelatin and 1/2 cup of cold water together.
2. Let the gelatin sit in the water for a minute or until it gels up.
3. Heat 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan on low heat. You want the water to be hot but not boiling.
4. Pour the hot water over the gelatin mixture.
5. Use a whisk and mix the ingredients together.
6. Pour the natural calm and honey into mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
7. Pour into molds or into a 5×7 inch pyrex pan.
8. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until set.
9. Store fruit snacks in a closed container in the refrigerator.

Sleepy Time Fruit Snacks
According to this study tart cherry juice enhances restfulness and promotes better sleep. Mixed with chamomile tea, gelatin and honey (all 3 help with relaxation and better sleep) these gummies are a great bedtime snack!
This recipes makes approximately 1 cup of fruit snacks.
Ingredients
• 1/2 cup of tart cherry juice
• 3 tablespoons of beef gelatin
• 1/2 cup of honey
• 1 cup brewed chamomile tea
Directions
1. In a small bowl mix 1/2 cup of tart cherry juice with gelatin.
2. Let the gelatin sit in the juice for a minute or until it gels up.
3. Brew a fresh cup of organic chamomile tea.
4. Steep for 3-5 minutes.
5. Remove teabag and pour the hot tea over the gelatin mixture.
6. Mix the ingredients together.
7. Add the honey and mix until thoroughly combined.
8. Pour into molds or into a 5×7 inch pyrex pan.
9. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until set.
10. Store fruit snacks in a closed container in the refrigerator.

The juice really covers the beef gelatin taste. I don't like beef gelatin at all. Yucky tasting but the collagen is so good for me. I get organic.

Great Lakes is the brand of collagen that Buhner recommends and they make gelatin also.

A lot of people get gelatin from their capsules, but it isn't organic unless you get it where it says that.

I have used agar agar as my gelatin when I want to go vegetarian. You use less of it because it sets quicker than the animal gelatin does.

Gelatin is just cooked collagen. If you choose to get it from an animal, get it from a grass fed beef source. And I do recommend Great Lakes as Buhner does.

Just a great healthy snack that we can all use, especially if you have lyme disease. And if you are in remission, it is great for aging people.

We lose a lot of collagen as we age.
