Since i've started serrepaptase about a week ago my anxiety has been increased a lot. Anxiety was an early symptom i had with lyme. I'm also a bit achey, but the main issue is anxiety and some depersonalization.

Who gets these feelings when they herx?
I'm going to ramp up my detox...

I'm not sure about me Tick, I thought I was finished with anxiety for quite some time and at least the symptoms and timing of them indicate lots more again.

Lyme definitely instigates those 'fight or flight' feelings, herxing definitely increases existing symptoms, so it stands to reason that's what's happening with you.

But, you have the best weapon at hand that I know of,(increasing your detoxing) except adding appropriate herbs that help deal with those issues.

Right now I'm depending on this stuff made from milky stage oat tops called Avena Sativa in tincture form at least for my anxiety symptoms.

Another avena sativa user here.

It's often a part of my herxing, which I'm going through now -again. Ugh.

Increasing detoxing as well over here!

I take a super low dose SSRI lexparo at 5mg which has also helped. I'll just stick to breathing exercises which work great. I would never increase my SSRI any more than 5

I do still get a tad of anxiety when I herx or flare...it only lasts a minute or two...just a 'pang' to remind me it's not gone.

Foot soaks calm me down but i found out they cause heart palps for me. Could these heart palps be due to the removing of toxins??

Yup, anxiety was always a symptom in the first place but effective treatments would usually bring it out even worse. Good idea to increase detox. Maybe consider tapering back on the dosing of the serrapeptase if things don't settle down or are too intense?

You may need to do these less frequently or minimize the time that you soak your tootsies. Sounds like things are getting stirred up.
