ALS & Lyme

That is so true! That generation.

Wouldn't it be interesting to know how many of us here, on this one forum alone, would be considered in "early stages of _______" (ALS, Parkinson's, ALZ...)

OK so...
1. He is incorrect the body will regen once infection gets dealt with.
2. The body is awesome.
3. Als is a lie. Its always Lyme. Its a cover like ms, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's for Lyme.
4. I know many folks on here and fb groups that were told they had als and treated Lyme and recovered fully.
5. I was told I had als I'm treating Lyme and some muscle is coming back in my hands.
6. Every video I've every watched about Lyme talks about als in it somewhere as a misdx
7. Lyme itself does cause these issues its usually a combo of Babs, Bart or Myco.

Kari, the body is an amazing thing! I was really impacted by my symptoms, and at one time I was barely functioning being bed ridden and being turned down by every doctor around. No one knows how much time recovery will take, or how much recovery they will have once these infections have had the chance to get really embedded in the different systems, but assume your Mom will be able to function and be out of bed one day. I didn't think I ever would, and yet, I'm now back in school and will be opening a business before much longer.

I can fully understand her thinking - I had the exact same thoughts. If I was going to be bed ridden the rest of my life, just let me go.

Unfortunately, I'm not good at lying. I won't tell a person they will heal, but the likelihood of it is great once you realize that you are dealing with infections, start treating and detoxing well enough. Being functional is what I'm after too - nothing more. I don't want to do a lot, but I do want to be able to garden, play with my grandkids, and to play with my dogs, cook dinner without being exhausted from it, and things like that. Seems reasonable requests to me! LOL!

I'm mostly there, but I (of course) want more. I know that I still have active infections, so I'm in treatment and I will get better - that's what I concentrate on. Not how much better I will get so much, but that I WILL get better - then find the things that will get me to that point.

This is all very much one step at a time - and suddenly you will go backwards a bit, but if you stick with it (adjusting, adding things, taking things out of your protocol, or whatever), improvements do come. It's not an easy road, but we will be here to help provide support and suggestions for both you and your mom.

Hang in there - and PLEASE remember to take good care of yourself!! This will be a long road for you as well!!

This Dr. still may prescribe antibiotics....along with herbals. You could phone the office and ask.

Holistic basically only means they understand how everything in the body is connected - you won't be sent off to see a specialist with each different body part, unless your specific issues require it.

Holistic doctors may or may not treat with abx for these infections. Wait until you get there (or call) rather than worry yourself about this - but, if they are good, they will know what to use to get your Mom healthier no matter what type of medicine they prefer.

And, remember, lots of people heal well with alternative medicine of all types, even from these infections. Keep in touch with us and we can tell you if they are really off track or if it's something that will likely help your Mom.

Girlie-I believe you're right. Which is what we need, help with the detoxing portion as well as the antibiotics. I'm hoping this doctor will be just the right fit as we do not have time to waste at this point.
